Thanks to VeraJane Vickers for her source image of the "fence" (pictured in first comment below). The flowers are an amalgam of my own images, while the mountains and lake behind are a landscape I took in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada.

In her 107th year, the Great Lakes Towing Co. tug 'Ohio' ,plows through ice & snow as she works to keep the Inbound and Outbound Shipping Channels on Sandusky Bay open along the shores of Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio.
With a length of 106.2 ft and a displacement of 194.0 gross tons she has seen quite a share of winter's work.
Now in her 107th Year, having been built in 1903 as M.F.D.S. NO. 15 for the City of Milwaukee (Fire Dept.) she served as a fireboat until 1948.
Accquired by the Great Lakes Towing Co. in 1953 and rebuilt in 1954, she was renamed 'Ohio' in 1973. An earlier 'Ohio' had been scrapped after being crushed against a concrete dock at Buffalo, NY, in November, 1954, by the 'S.S. W.F. WHITE'.
I have decided to develop the project “Through the light” to show how is living in Palermo. The city despite the diverse mixture of cultures has retained most of its original identity. Art and history are some important elements of daily palermitan life. Walking in the evening in our historical centre, which is the heart of the city, you can see many areas that are colored by typical corner markets such as Ballarò, il Capo and Vucciria that represent the ancient city’s pulsating core, tied to the scents and traditions of this city. Past and present exist together and give a unique scenery in many interesting places. I tried to “open a window” on some degraded areas to redeem the image of a city, which needs to look for a way back into the sun.
After quite a foggy start to the afternoon it was nice to see the sunlight falling through the clouds!

Northern Class 153 Super Sprinters 153352 and 153380 pass through the remains of Brightside station with the ex 10.35 Doncaster to Sheffield service. Brightside station was opened in November 1838 by the Sheffield and Rotherham Railway which later was absorbed by the Midland Railway. Aswell as the two main running lines through the station, as seen in this shot, goods loops ran behind both platforms. Despite the opening of Meadowhall Interchange, less than 1/2 mile away, in 1990 a limited service remained until final closure came in 1995.
Talking Rocks Cavern (originally called Fairy Cave) is a cavern system located in Stone County, just west of Branson in the U.S. state of Missouri. Features include 'curtain' and the 'bacon' formations.
To see this picture in 3D, sit 2-3 feet from the monitor and gently cross your eyes so that the two images become three. The one in the middle will be in 3D. If you are finding this difficult, you may be trying too hard. Viewing full screen is best.
It was almost too early for a shot at the Hole in the Wall, but I took it anyway. There's sunlight on the trucks! The MYCPB travels through the Hole in the Wall and heads for Dupo before planning to continue on. Air problems would lead to them gumming up the yard most of the day instead. East St Louis, IL.
5619 has just passed through the site of Castor Station on the Nene Valley Railway with the second trip to Peterborough of the day.

SB800 shot through umbrella camera left. I really need to get some sort of secondary light to properly light my background. These 'grey' backdrops are starting to look ugly!
A BNSF ballast train heads west at Kentucky Street, passing two empty BNSF coal trains and the UP MSFNL, a mixed freight from Sheffield, Alabama, to North Little Rock, Arkansas. The UP train will head west after sunset.
While the valley had very few things to block ones view other than buildings that was not the case up on the surrounding mountains.

Continuing on with the series from the abandoned farmhouse in North Carolina, I found an interesting composition through a door sidelight in the front hallway, looking back toward the kitchen, pantry and other rooms at the back of the house.
One has to tread very carefully through here; the right side of the house is pretty much missing, and the best path is to balance-beam along the floor joists.
Of compositional note: The original frames were much wider, but when I cropped this to something close to a 9:16 format, it just popped.

The Sulamani Temple, Bagan, Myanmar
The Sulamani Temple (Burmese: စူဠာမဏိဘုရား, pronounced [sùlàmənḭ pʰəjá]) is a Buddhist temple located in the village of Minnanthu (southwest of Bagan) in Burma. The temple is one of the most-frequently visited in Bagan.
It was built in 1183 by King Narapatisithu and is similar to the Thatbyinnyu Temple in design. The Sulamani Temple also shows influence from the Dhammayangyi Temple, and was the model for the Htilominlo Temple. Sulamani Temple was restored after the 1975 earthquake, and utilises brick and stone, with frescoes in the interior of the temple. It was rebuilt in 1994.

Jamila Khatoon, 12 years old, plays in front of a UNICEF-supported mobile child-friendly bus in Ali Murad village of Kharpur disrict, Sindh province.UNICEF, with the help of its implementing NGO partner, Indus Resource Center, built two mobile buses for flood-affected children of Sindh. Children can play and learn through playful activities and a counsellor is available to help them overcome their trauma.

When the offer of a waterfall shoot came up, how could I resist?!?! Although I really didn’t think the costume all the way through, of course long floaty flowing white looks great dry and wind swept – get a splash of water on it and I might as well be naked lol. Actually when photographic erotica first started in the late 1800s-early1900s they would cover women in wet muslin so they wouldn’t get in trouble but you could still see almost everything.
Anyway, the falls were great – cold, but great, its going to be really hard finding the best shots from this set – so you guys will probably be seeing heaps of them!
