The Eruptor was built for Brick Fanatics magazine as part of a series of features aimed at breathing new life into old themes. The goal wasn't to take an old set and make it new, but imagine the theme had been established now, with all of the modern parts and techniques available. I worked hard to keep the design cues of the original Blacktron theme, while looking at it from a new perspective. Being an old school anime fan, I pulled from things such as Macross and added huge missile bays at the back and in the belly. The latter of which is spring loaded (via rubber bands) and can be deployed with a t-bar at the top of the ship. I envision this as an adaptable airframe that can be fitted for different roles such as reconnaissance or transport.
Northern’s 0600 Maryport – Lancaster, formed by 153317+153378 stands with its leading bogie off the road near Coulderton (between St. Bees and Nethertown) derailed by a mud slide following a night of heavy rain on 30 August 2012. The mudslide is visible on the track behind the train and its trail can be followed across the beach towards the sea.
Passengers are being transferred to 153324, which had been despatched to the scene to take off around 100 people. I’m not sure of the seating capacity of this particular unit but the maximum for the type is 75!
Further mudslides prevented 153324 from getting to Sellafield so it had to backtrack to Nethertown where passengers were eventually evacuated using road vehicles which was no mean feat for 100 people. Nethertown station is accessed by a narrow, single track road with a hairpin bend and limited space to turn a road vehicle, even with the track access gate open.
Three little boats in with the big boys in the harbour in Bridlington on the east coast of England. The boat called Santoy it a long way from home though, must have been one hell of a ride from Devon to Yorkshire in this little thing, unless it was delivered here by road......

Can mushrooms be cute? I though this group of three growing on an old tree stump looked very cute. Taken in my garden.

The three young ladies with folded hands in this daguerreotype appear to feel that having a daguerreotype made is serious business. The two seated girls wear fingerless net gloves and very similar dresses. All three have very short hair.
Three Brothers in Yosemite at sunrise. I visit this spot every time I go to Yosemite. The calmness and tranquil here makes it one of my favorite locations to spend a morning at with my camera and a cup of coffee.
We camped for a night just a few kilometers from this spot, knew there was the possibility of stormy weather, and caught this scene before it arrived. An hour later, with darkness falling, we watched a very large cell moving slowly along the North shore of the St Lawrence from where we stood. The next day we learned that it had a downdraft in excess of 100 km/hr and there was considerable damage where it had passed.
The outskirts of Trois Pistoles, where this picture was taken, was named after a silver goblet supposedly worth three gold coins. The area has a fascinating history - it's hosted the University of Western Ontario's French immersion program since 1932, and Basque whalers used an island just offshore in the 16th century.
Snowman Trail, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, 14 Dec 2022
Hitchin town centre has a "Walking with the Snowman" trail during December 2022 and January 2023.
The twelve giant Snowman sculptures are based on the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas".
This is "Three French Hens".

The Histogram of this picture shown it's way underexposed ...but i do like the Tone and subtle morning lighting...so here it is. :)
Still having a hectic time finishing up the Construction drawing for a very fussy client...sigh...I'm taking a break from the lines, geometry and things so-called architecture, most of the times photography is an escape from our real life schedules, just like painting and music.
Need to reschedule my timetable again for the " i want it now" 3D image of the little housing scheme....sigh again....
