A specialty variety of tulip, the petals tipped like stars, a gorgeous bright pink, with here and there a touch of the green brush...

My first time on the beach at Happisburgh on Sunday and a visit to these wooden sea defences, which unfortunately aren't doing the job they were intended for, with the coastline succumbing to erosion at quite a quick rate.
They do however make a great subject for photography and are probably only appreciated by landscape photographers.
As always with minimalist photography, less is more.

As with the New 1000 images allowed to posting on Flickr i will not be posting anymore of my photos here , that's a huge insult to the photographers who have used this site.... From 1TB to 1000... sheesh... as they say all good things must come to an end.
Three large stones on Birchen Edge named after Nelson's ships. From left to right in this photo they are; 'Victory', 'Defiance' and 'Royal Soverin'.
Three immaculate Alcos lead a heavy Bath & Hammondsport train north from Painted Post toward Cohocton.

Tete-a-tete is one of the most popular dwarf daffodils.
Standing at only 15cm (6in) high. Available in the shops from now on to brighten up a room and enthral us with a slight fragrance of Spring.
Like Phoenixes, they stand, erect.
Every year, the same bulbs, after their Winter-sleep, burst open and produce those lovely fresh flowers again and again, like a Phoenix...
The Phoenix has long been presented as a symbol of rebirth, immortality, and renewal.
The Belgian Euro 10 silver coin, commemorating sixty years of peace, depicts the Phoenix as a representation of a new Europe, post 1945.
The capital of Arizona was so named as it was built on the ruins of the Hohokam civilization that had existed on the site centuries before.

These three piglets have just been weaned off their mother. I was out looking to capture the brilliant sunset on the horizon when I heard these little ones shuffling around. Bits of the sunset can be seen on the piglets legs & their little trotters.

Viola tricolor in Nacka Nature Reserve, Sweden.
Viola tricolor is a common European wild flower, growing as an annual or short-lived perennial. The species is also known as wild pansy, Johnny Jump up (though this name is also applied to similar species such as the yellow pansy), heartsease, heart's ease, heart's delight, tickle-my-fancy, Jack-jump-up-and-kiss-me, come-and-cuddle-me, three faces in a hood, love-in-idleness, and pink of my john.
