Now im pretty sure that this image is going to get fellow Flickr members guessing as to what this actually is. Its taken on the return journey from here. This is the return journey with dramtic view across to the Scottish hills & River Clyde
The impressive Falkirk Wheel Visitor Centre now sits at the bottom of the wheel overlooking the large circular basin. Boats enter a lift 'caisson' at the bottom of the lift, and others can enter a similar caisson at the top. The gates are shut and the wheel rotates, raising and lowering up to eight boats (depends on length) at the same time in about 15 minutes. At the top of the lift is an aqueduct which goes leads beneath the Roman Antonine wall in a 104 metre tunnel to reach the Union Canal.

Three wooden boats.
These three wooden boats were high and dry once the tide of the River Deben had withdrawn.
Boat building is a major industry and it is most likely that these craft were skillfully hand crafted at the local boat building yard.

Three Shire Heads is a great location on Axe Edge Moor where Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire meet.
the clouds were amazing over our three days at Hope Bay, Ontario. I'm not sure I've ever taken so many photos of them. This is one of my favourites. Taken last night as we sat on the bay eating our supper.
Seagulls wading in the waves of Lake Michigan. The rest of the flock flew off as I approached, but not these three.

These three Sanderlings were all lined up for their morning photo. Seen at Malbu Lagoon State Beach.
When I was in Farmington, NM last month, I visited a local park where some Prairie Dogs live. They were all quite skittish and I couldn't get very close, even after standing still for a very long time. This is a pretty heavy crop.
This image was taken through a Swiss microscope using an iPhone. This is a small segment of a dime-sized, Swiss made woman’s mechanical watch.

I recently bought these trees at the auction we always peruse online, for local pickup. I collect little trees to go along with my stained glass houses, but last year for the winter season, I dressed the mantles with trees alone! I have one other like these, and it has been a favorite!

Flash A bare buib with 4 inch reflector, mounted on boom above and behind subject, bounced off white ceiling. behind subject. Flas B round head, mounted above and slightly behind camera, bounced off ceiling. White reflectors (24 x 42 in) placed behind and to side of subjects to provide white reflec tion in mirror.
