'Like a silken thread' is a wonderful description. For over 10 seconds, I held the shutter open again and again, excited to see what kind of silk threads would be captured in the photograph.
Thread to use for Atlantian Medallion Cord Project. DMC pearl cotton size 5. Blue = 796, White = Blanc, Gold = 725. Small wooden spool is used as counterweight. Small cardboard bobbin is used to wrap excess thread so it doesn't tangle.
I hadn't noticed that this scrap copper wire, sitting on my bench for months, was already formed into a ring! I only dressed it up a little with some cotton thread, before taking a picture.
I unraveled the boucle and then sewed the threads into a super soft cowl scarf. I left a couple of patches of fabric in its original form, and incorporated those for a little interest.

Internet pattern, size 10 thread, 7 hook. This is the third one, two were done in size 10 and one in size 30.
Reinventing this super inexpensive pair of sandals by adding crocheted accents. Just used white plastic rings, did a single crochet around each using Kreinik holographic Tapestry #12 Braid, then hot glued them onto the sandals. Added flat-backed cabochon in each center.

I've had these completed edgings for at least a couple of years without attaching them to anything and while it's nice to pull them out now and then to look at it's not nearly as satisfying as having something you can lay on a table and admire! This is the rose coloured one. There is a blue one too.

Week 6: Sewing
So here I am trying my hand at a recent hobby/obsession, which is sewing! I've always loved it, but being pregnant and not having great clothes out there is really forcing me to make my own, and i am loving it!
Trying on different filters on this photo, don't love it, but it's nice.
