Usually I just sew through the middle directly but as this thread is a bit thicker than I usually use for this button size (1.5cm) I thought I would try this shank and I think it works quite well.
Advertising used to be so cool! This is just thread used to restring a necklace but the art is so nice too! What happened to adverstising is what I want to know... I have one of these in green too (somewhere)
Underside of my practice sandwich (thus the crazy loops and colors). Straight row of stitching on top was my current test. The dark grey is the bobbin thread. The blue tail is the top thread (both Aurifil 50wt) that broke while sewing.

Today my sister and her husband came up to visit. We haven't seen them since New Years day so it was good to get together with them.

i crocheted these shawls out of quilting thread a couple of years ago and then never got around to blocking them or listing them till a customer asked about them recently, so i pulled them out to take pictures. i'd forgotten just how many i made! :lol: i'll be blocking them all this weekend and then listing them on etsy soon. if you are interested in any before that my email addy is in my profile.
