Ok, I admit it this is just a thread fest!

My Mom's colorful collection of embroidery thread.

Punches are used for the leaves, but each lily on this card has individuallly cut, scored, and rolled petals, with red thread as stamens.

Barbour Threads was our first explore after crossing into ireland. We only saw a small part this time but it was excellent all the same!

The train wires have always scared me a bit. I had this image of them being arms and coming to get me as a child. But now I love them. They're peaceful and steady, and they lead me to places I've never been to, in my favorite way of transportation: the train.

Made tiny embroidery threads! So cute!

I like this shot because it really shows the thread connection between the abdomen and thorax.

I bought this peg board stand from gateway (like a goodwill) for $10.00. I then purchased the hooks off ebay. It is double sided. I love that is on wheels and movable. I do keep a vinyl cover when not in use to keep dust off of thread.

This picture was taken for the Daily Challenge - something that starts with the letter 'N'. My first idea was to find household product that said 'New and Improved'. Oddly enough, I couldn't find any. My next idea was that ancient artifact - a newspaper. But I don't have any since I read my papers at the library. So, I went with the needle and thread. It works.

Taken for April 3rd Our Daily Challenge - Something that starts with 'N'.

Most of these are pretty old and came from Birmingham's lovely Rag Market - where I sadly no longer visit but Lesley does - thank you : )

Inside. I had these tiny scissors from Spiced Coffee- they'll have to hang out in here until I can find some folding ones.

Made with this cute tute- www.sewmamasew.com/2011/01/travel-sewing-case-tutorial/ I made it a bit bigger and with 2 elastics to hold it closed, but otherwise I followed the tute.

We are passionate about thread. Thread has become a specialized instrument for creativity and stitch express. It can play a supporting, technical role or be the star of the show. Check out the chart on page 9 of the book Threads – The Basics and Beyond.

I swear, this is not a PS photo!

This ice drop was hanging on a spiderweb thread, but this thread was so thin, that the camera couldn´t show it.
