A button of my chemise was torn off, so I had tio sew it back on. It was so unbelivable hard to put the stupid thread into the needle eye. But finally I won and the needle lost.

I was sick on Sunday, so I didn't take any pictures for that day. This is some thread one of my best friends gave me awhile ago in the summer. I am really grateful to have bright friends in my life.

Giant spools of thread purchased for fifty cents each. I think I'll use the bright green on my table cloth skirt. Or maybe that teal color.
The one on the bottom was eating the whole time. They flew, landed and moved around for some time while I watched and took pictures. Thread Waisted Wasp: Eremnophila aureonotata.
Panagabel or loom weaving is one the oldest industries that Ilocanos have acquired from their ancestors.
Until now it is still very much practiced in the Ilocos Region, Cagayan, Isabela and Cordillera.
With the use of wooden tilars, bamboo sticks and native threads/yarns Ilocanos patiently weaves. It requires high eye and hand dexterity to finish a good classic design of Abel. It takes a week to complete a full bed cover.
Abel cloth is one of most products that tourists buy for their souvenirs as blankets, bed linens, camisa-chino, hand towels, place mats, table napkins, runners and now the use of Abel has evolved these includes bags, bath towels and robes, coin purse, mobile phone case and even glamour fashion clothing.

I've been working on hand dying grosgrain ribbon, different weights of cotton thread, and cotton fabric for the last week.
I never think of social media as something private… that’s why I rarely post other people on any of my pages… because it’s my social media; for me, it’s not private, but some people might feel differently. That’s why any content that other people want to post with me always gets approved. Everyone knows!!!! But in reality, I don't think much of it… If someone sees my posts and doesn’t like it… okay… I can’t say it makes my life better or worse... if someone sees something and feels the same way I do. It makes that person’s day better I’m happy… but if someone thinks negatively of me because of my content… what can I say? There are bigger problems in the world, such as we all will die one day, poverty, hunger, climate change, homelessness, and diseases, and some other very personal important things. Those things bother me, not someone’s opinion of me. I always tell one of my friends, if you care what other people think of you after 30, you don’t understand life. And about people annoying “you”on public social media!!! It doesn't annoy me… People are getting blocked after every inappropriate word or DM! My list on Instagram is huge
a roll of thread from my mother's sewing box. this is my first shot ever (test shot, if you will), using a technique that i just learned of the other day. to say that i feel i've opened a door to a whole new world is a great understatement. this knowledge was passed along by a fellow flickrer who has used it quite extensively. i was so impressed with the effects on her photos i had to ask her how she was doing it. reverse lens macro, was her answer. the rest as they is about to be history. i've seen it (unknowingly) applied to flowers and lots of pretty things, giving them a softness and beauty beyond description. i can't wait to apply it to so many "man" things and see what evolves. thank you fellow flickrer....i shall be forever grateful.

An ancient method of hair removal with origins in Arabia and South Asia. A very delicate procedure, making it suitable for even the most sensitive skin. Hair is removed by using string or "thread", and pulling out the hairs by the follicle. (information taken from The Beauty Pot web site www.thebeautypot.com/south-asian-beauty/south-asian-skin-...)
