Dull pink to burgundy - my "Olde Rose" hand dyed thread.

In the 1980's my mom used to give tea parties in her garden room to some of her luckiest students. It was an adorable activity as part of a school fundraiser. My grandmother loved the idea and purchased these aprons for the event at an antique store.

Might not be so much too much if I had it organized in some useful way...

It's a featherless Sunday again.

A beautiful non-stinging wasp, this Thread-waisted Wasp is about a half-inch long and flies about any flower it can feed on and even inspects the dead flowers. I'm not sure if this wasp feeds on other smaller insects.
