Thought something was wrong when I arrived. Had I gone on a day when nothing was flying.
No one on the Bwlch or Cad East, so just me then here in Cad West, but what is too early ?
Anyway I was soon to find out at 9.21 am when these guys turned up.
A student in my Intro to Visual Communications class exhibited thought leadership when he declared that we are in "The Glass Age."
2 questions that pops out in my head everytime I think of this particular person.. Sorry for being emotional today. Anyway, hooray for the 1st week of 2013!
i thought you would like to see this one too Ryan. Mom let Dylan use her car because her's looks nicer than his truck
I did a very fun shoot with a friend of mine's children a few weeks ago.
We took the girls out to a local park and spent a few hours taking pictures and being silly.
In this shot, to get just a little bit of extra DOF, I shot at F/2 rather than F/1.4. The bokeh is still quite good, but the girl is quite a bit sharper than she would otherwise be.

Daily Dog Challenge "259. Deep In Thought - Take a photo of your dog thinking about something - food bowl, belly button lint, mystery of the universe, or whatever else might come to mind!"
Well, I suppose he could be thinking about belly button lint…
It was the eyelashes what won me over on this shot. :)

I thought this was an old transformer from back in the day, but it's just an old rust bucket. This site is a brownfield and the reason it's a brownfield (do NOT dig!) site is because it was once a Coke plant (coal-to-coke for foundry use) and then where WP&L made, stored, and refurbished electrical transformers (when the coolant of choice was PCB-based), and, lastly, the Main Beloit Sewer Plant (because... well... river = sewer... way back in pre-1950 times).
Amazing how we abused our resources back in the olden days, huh?
Shot with my 1st Gen, 1993, Canon EF 70-300mm lens. (All I took with me on the bike ride yesterday. Cropped out some vignetting in the corners, but remarkably good for its age.)
