this is my favourite shot from the Duxford air show.

This is SOOC excluding the crop and framing.

This image was captered with my nikon D80 and 50mm lens with an old sears x4 magnification filter attached. Light provided by my SB800 flash in TTL mode, on camera and position up and slightly back (to compensate for downward angle of the shot) to bounce directly of ceiling.

This dragonfly was such a great model! It sat there about 10 minutes and didn't care about anything.

This 1830's Colonial-styled cottage may not be here for long, having been totally overgrown by brush and briars. Let's hope its tin roof is in decent condition, or all may be lost.

This egret had a hard time eating this worm as it kept winding around its beak.

This was the last try before success!

This lovely Fiat 500 can be seen in the same location on google street view, link below

This ancient cemetery is near the centre of Dundee ,it dates back to the 16th century and is on the site of a Franciscan friary

This series of images were taken to represent my childhood aspiration, which was a Ballerina believe it or not, as is probably every girl's dream.

This is Speck, my son's three-month-old kitten. We are caring for him while his mom and dad are traveling.

This signal box was taken out of use in September 1978, when control passed to the western extension of the Reading panel.

This is the year the film "Susie Wong" was released. (filmed in part on this boat)

This was taken by our Presbyterian Church in East Brady, PA......the town in which I have lived for the past 23 years. It is so peaceful down by the river......all of your cares and worries just seem to float away...like a log or leaf you occasionally see going down stream.

I could get lost for hours walking along the river's edge.......seeing so many sights just waiting to be appreciated.

This huge car came out just before WW2 started and consumer auto manufacturing came to a halt for several years.

This project would be an anthological archive of the adopted girl through the element of Joaquín Sorolla's painting. In a similar Mediterranean lighting condition, the patterned elements appear in the photo.該項目將通過華金·索羅拉 (Joaquín Sorolla) 的繪畫元素,成為被收養女孩的選集檔案。 在類似的地中海照明條件下,圖像元素出現在照片中。

This little guy comes close to capturing the beauty and delight of his Peruvian counterparts (see links below), but without real clothes or fabric bunting, all in delicious pastels, he doesn't really take off.

This rainbow appeared just as dusk started this evening.

This prominent Federal-style mansion was built circa 1804 by John Mark Verdier (1759-1827), a successful merchant and planter. Verdier had accumulated significant wealth both by trading indigo and subsequently by acquiring over 1,000 acres used for the growing of highly profitable sea island cotton. This house was a highly visible statement that reflected his rise from a merchant’s status to a wealthy member of Beaufort’s planter class.

The current pain colors reflect the 1863 exterior.

This is a different version of a previously posted image. This has an actual watercolor sky blended with the photograph.

This week is Parrot Week. On my photostream that is...

Taken at Tropical Birdland , Leicestershire. UK. January 2007.

Umbrella Cockatoo. (Thanks too all that told me that!)

She might not be as showy as the others but was certainly the most colourful character there. She had a very soft voice ("Hello!") and seemed a gentle soul. BTW that's Lou modelling as a perch.

This lesser yellowlegs was walking right along while looking for stuff like dragonfly naiads to grab with that tweezer-like bill.

He may be small, but he knows how to pose.

This is the w/b AEPML-10, which was due to arrive at Mira Loma, CA much sooner, and with four Ferromex units, but I guess one of the three GE techo-toasters had a traction motor fire and it was set-out in AZ. Good for me, as I wouldn't have got this shot if it had been on time, and "three amigos" is fine with me.

This friend of mine is in the hospital with some unknown disease/condition/sickness that is leaving him with severely low hemoglobin, platelet and white blood cell counts. They've run several tests and cannot figure out what he has. They say they've never seen it before. He is young (turns 24 this month) and lives an athletic lifestyle. The blood transfusions aren't seeming to help. He felt fine at Thanksgiving.

Please pray for my friend to have strength through this time, and for the doctors to be blessed with wisdom.

His name is Leonard.

12/4/09 Update: He has been diagnosed with aplastic anemia. They haven't determined how he got it or the exact treament yet, but it's a big step to know what his condition is. Thank you for all the prayers and support!

12/7/09 Update: Leonard's platelet counts have continued to drop and have reached a critical low point. He was transferred to a "better" hospital which should be better able to treat him. Today is going to be a big day as the doctors try to set forth a treatment plan. Please keep praying for Leonard to have strength and peace and for the doctors to be blessed with wisdom as they work to heal my friend's body.

Update 2/11/2010

Leonard stated chemotherapy today. His bone marrow transplant will occur on Tuesday. His sister is the donor. He will be in Houston for the treatment and the several months of recovery after.

This is an iPad painting, made with a beta version of iColorama.

I used one of Cristina's photographs as a source to build this. It was a great image of Cristina walking by the water, in black and white, no birds.

this was a poster in Nakano Ward, Tokyo

This is a landmark hotel in Edinburgh center. It's the kind of hotel you've only ever read about in murder mysteries or seen in movies. All the rich people stay here and the concierge knows everyone by name and is perfectly happy to hold on to a handkerchief he found by the stairwell with some cryptic initials on it, for the lady in the blue satin dress who dropped it after returning in a visibly upset state at 2AM last night.

It's right next to the railway station and travelers would stay here before their onward journeys.

It has a tower clock which is set to run 2 minutes faster, to help the passengers out. Because some people just can't be on time for anything, ever.

this amazing structure in the middle of old seville centro, cost 90 million euros, a wonderful sight.

This dog was so patient and when it's owner allowed him the treat he flipped it in the air, caught it and ate it.

The main differences are in how everything was put together, and several detail improvments like the side mirrors, door knobs or the interiors.

THIS ONE GOT TO CLOSE FOR COMFORT

1/9/2010

I really want a dollhouse. Like really bad. I tried convincing my daughter that she wanted one for Christmas, but she wasn't interested.

Then I realized that I was wanting to buy her a dollhouse so I could "play" with it. So you know what? I'm going to get my own dollhouse. Yes, I am!

I don't have my dollhouse yet, but I do have this adorable washer and dryer! Got it for $5.00 at Hobby Lobby. The washer's lid opens up!

This is posted to offer some scale for anyone looking at the photos of Bazooka Joe, or Captain Crunch, the above bear is the largest wild black bear I have ever observed, anywhere on the North American continent! At the time this very poor photo was taken(June 5th 2015)this animal was almost certainly 750 lbs, and I'd not be surprised in the least if he went to den in November north of 900 lbs!

Generally I always grade a bears estimated weight as conservatively as possible, like with Joe's estimated weight running between 500-600 lbs, while I feel he's much more likely in the 600 + pound range. I hope to see Big Unit in the next few days, I have no idea if he's alive or not, though the sport killers(radio/GPS collared pack hound's backed by killers in 4x4 trucks and ATV's) would have sang their murderous joy to the whole world if they had killed him, and no doubt his harvesting would likely invade the national news cycle at some level.

This is the second part of the story i said about a girl and cat.Well i think most Cat Slaves knows what these photos means XD

This is the castle that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang flew over in the film...

This is the first photo from a series of images I took today. My first shoot underwater! I was very nervous about shooting, but I am so pleased with the images and couldn't wait to share. I will definitely be doing this again
