I couldn't help myself. It was either this or a cyclops. I like this one better. Cyclops is played out...ofcourse so is the three eyes....but this is better.

This is another Bembecine Sand Wasp (genus Steniolia, Bembicini, Hymenoptera) working flowers of White-leaf Monardella (Monardella hypoleuca, Lamiaceae) in the woods today. Yep, they have remarkable goggle-like eyes, but what gives with that amazing "third eye" between its two real eyes -- the mark of the Illuminati?? Yep, it's real, see this photo. On January 12th, 2002, my father (a big sports fan) was offered two courtside tickets to see the Bulls play the Los Angeles Lakers. The tickets were right behind the Bulls bench even with the backboard and we saw all of the players up close including Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neil. It was a close game, but with less than three minutes left in the game, Brad Miller and Shaq got into a fight RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. Shaq completely missed Miller, but I definitely would not be on the receiving end of a roundhouse from him.
