I've been crabby lately, but only in social settings. I find it increasingly difficult to hang out with new people.
Like today, I had this conversation with a girl who on the one hand is doing something I can relate to, she's studying film. Ok, so we have photo in common. She tells me this story about how she goes jogging every morning and there's a big snake lying on the side of the path almost every time. Ok, cool. A snake. You know, nature provides our jogging paths with snakes sometimes, it's what nature does. But she sees the snake like, I don't know, a personal INSULT to her running every morning. Like she's outraged or something. I can understand how people are scared of snakes and avoid them, but the snake has a right to be there too, and that's where we seem to have different opinions. She goes on and on about how a friend found a snake in her garden - all of this has this underlying tone of how the snakes are horrible and how dare they be in people's gardens etc. So I tell her, "well, you can't kill them either, because all snakes are protected" (in Sweden) and she looks even more insulted and NO WAY THAT CANNOT BE.
I do not understand people who want to wipe out everything that disturbs them in some way. Who sees everything around them as this big threat, or personal insult. Swedish snakes aren't even that poisonous, I'd understand the drama more if it was a puff adder. How can you even question when an animal is protected? That's just mindblowing to me. We destroy everything around us through pollution, building and hunting, and still you can't stand the sight of a snake when you're jogging in the morning? Go live in a fucking bubble.
I'd be happy if I saw a snake in the city, that would mean nature isn't entirely destroyed.
But it wasn't REALLY about the snake, although it always pisses me off when people have no respect for nature, but what it was really about was how some people see the world as their bloody oyster all the time, and I don't mean in the sense that they enjoy living, because that's a good thing, but that they think that EVERYTHING WAS MADE FOR THEM. And that everything that doesn't fit their personal taste should be forbidden, destroyed, wiped out and not be seen. Like snakes and ugly people. Couldn't it possibly be the other way round? That you're the one who's expendable? Just a thought, lady.
I don't walk around thinking about the universe as my personal entertainment channel.
I also have a very hard time talking to people who do. Maybe that makes me not much of a socialite. That's ok with me, in that case. Frankly, I prefer the snakes.
Edit: Expendable. Expendable. Not expandable. Sigh.

Well this started to be a deeply spiritual psychic site! It suddenly seems to have gone from the spiritual to the bizzare..well all I can say is, I may be a deeply spiritual guy who happens to be a wizard with 16 letters after his name..but it shows here that he is also grounded and doesnt mind a bit of fun. In fact, make fun of yourself first...then no one can make fun of you!! Hope this has made you laugh!
