Portrait of a girl in Tipu Sultan Palace, Bangalore, India

# Psst. Satire alert. You've been warned. Thank you. Please don't litter in space!

# Welcome to Suburbia in Space! This week, we focus on Springtime for Saturn, where fields of Ultra-GMO flowers will soon carpet the lush Human Habitat Spheres, the colors filling our hearts with joy and a murderous ballad or two. Yes, these blossoms have ancillary benefits! Never fret about body disposal again! These lovelies live for meat, and have developed quite a taste for, well, us. This is the new wild west, after all, just watch your back! Start planning your trek to Saturn where, in a sense, no one ever dies because autopsies aren't performed -- the darn things eat it all -- and of course there are no depressing cemeteries. Just shiny, happy, belching flower beds, and ungodly amounts of radiation. Turns out the stuff guarantees that Mommy and Daddy have a thermonuclear strength happy ending to kids-free fun time. If the brats do get the in the way, simply feed them to the flowers -- no questions asked -- and make another batch! Saturn kiddies are pushing our evolution, too, with third eyes, tongues in strange places, even rectums that talk! It's Naked Lunch every day! Don't wait or unnecessarily deliberate! Gorgeous and grisly fields of red await! Exterminate all rational thought and catch a DARPA hop today! Cheers!

Originally built sometime in the early 1500's, Wat Chiang Yuen (Temple of long life) is thought to be one of Chiang Mai's oldest temples.

The temple was abandoned in the second half of the 18th century, after the Burmese conquered Chiang Mai, but once King Kawila drove the Burmese out, the temple was reconstructed in 1794.

I'm not sure how old this Buddha statue is, but I'm sure it's been "spruced up" recently.

Life has got a different version to different people in this world. To somebody changing the model of the car each moth is the meaning of life and to some people surviving each day is a challenge! The boy you can see on the other side of the barb wire, just have a look in his eyes. Do u see a deep frustration? They stand all day long in these bushes for some help. Some food some water. Life has got a different meaning to this boy! Here i wanna tell you a story. One day a local woman came to our doctor for help as she was sick . Doctor felt she is suffering from dehydration. So the doctor asked her, do u take waters and when did you take last? She replied she took a glass of water three days ago! Its a big question to us how do they survive here. We have not seen any deep tube-well or any kind of water source here in this place. The general altitude of this area is more than 4000 feet. Some of the families spend days together to collect water form some of the natural water source far away. Life is so much challenging here.

A beautiful waterlily imaged at the San Diego Botanical Gardens, Encinitas, California.

I'd like to think that the adult frog in the photo was guarding the froglets, but I think that's being too hopeful. I certainly hope it wouldn't make a meal of any of them, I have never seen a common frog eat a smaller version of itself although cannibalism is rife in many species of frog. Now here's something weird - go to the largest magnification and look between the adult frog's eyes... do you see a tiny third 'eye' immediately left of the duckweed leaf?? Must be an optical illusion (no pun intended), surely : )

Three years ago I was in a parking lot by myself walking to work and a man wearing a Sikh turban approached me. He didn't say hello, he just said that I have good luck. I looked at him like he was crazy, mainly because I had had enough with strange men and their weird pick up lines. Boy was I was wrong about him though. He proceeded to tell me about my past, my present reality, and future life - all with such great detail. He described my aura, knew that I was an Aquarius and when my birthday was, and explained what that meant about me... That was only the tip of what he told me. I've never had any experience like that before - it really shook me.

Fast forward to last week - I was entering Bathurst station and a man approached me. He said that I'm lucky. I looked at him, and sure enough it was the same man. He remembered me, saying that I'm the Jewish girl he met three years ago. It's hard to describe this whole experience for me, but I'll definitely start by saying that this world blows my mind.

Has this happened to anyone before? Would love it if you could share a story about a crazy spiritual experience that has happened to you.

This photo is dedicated to that man, Yogi.

Self portrait in Ladakh, India

This image is about seeking change, transformation. It's about finding spiritual enlightenment - a path that isn't necessarily straight and is often difficult.

There's some Judaic connection to this image. She's placed in a barren, desert landscape, and in Hebrew the word במדבר (bamidbar) actually translates to wilderness, not necessarily "in the desert." I like how she looks like she herself is wild. She's sunburned, unclothed - very raw. I think the nudity shows her vulnerability and willingness to shed all pretenses. She's willing and receptive to changing and transforming. She wants to find enlightenment, which is why she has stretched out her hands, towards the third eye placed in the sky.
