I discovered this Quick Curl Skipper in my horde of doll stuff. Had to give her a Growing Up Skipper Body because that’s what I had. I poured hot water over her matted hair to detangle it. Now I’m thinking of rerooting her and giving her bangs. This hair is not that great. Thoughts?

Oh, and we also had a cyclone here (well, more like a stong rainstorm), everything is ok though.

You are probably thinking, a living forest, big deal! Well, for me it is. Since 2016 almost everywhere I go and my daily view from any window of my home I see 'death'; or that is how I view it. I am surrounded by the dead, burnt trees that can be found for hundreds of miles/km's; in fact nearly 800,000 hectres of boreal forest ravaged by the 'beast'!

On Monday I had the pleasure of driving through an area that was not affected by the forest fire of 2016. The pure joy and the beauty of living trees. The fact that it was primarily scrubby spruce or jack pine did not matter. The trees were alive and beautiful and did wonders for the heart!

It's a cliche, but the lush lawns and wealthy coastal mansions along the Cliff Walk in Newport, Rhode Island made me think of Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. (As did the fact that I had recently seen Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, in which Fitzgerald is a character.) Some think that West Egg, the fictional town in Gatsby, is loosely based on Westport, Connecticut, a 130-mile (210 km) drive to the west of here.

You don't like my style ? i don't care, but accecpt it, the way I am living is a perfect way :)
