For the learning challenge. Used water coloring pencils (as taught by Hero Artist Lisa). I also stamping on acetate with Staz-on (as shown by Jennifer McGuire during week one of the blog). Also included stitching and used Versamark, two things I hadn't ever done before the Hero Arts blog. Thanks to Hero Arts and the wonderful artists for all the inspiration you provide on a daily basis.
VERY loosely based on this card: www.flickr.com/photos/25252212@N04/2380939904/ I used the same colors, Thinking of You stamp, buttons, and acetate. Other than that I completely changed things around.

I was early for my project meeting up at Treliske Hospital this morning, so decided to walk up from the train station, rather than take the bus. It was rather further than I had imagined, and I felt tired out by the time I arrived, but I did stop off on the way to take this picture of the Truro Golf Club, which is next to the hospital grounds. To be honest, I would have rather been on the golf course than in my meeting ...

Stavroula & her friend were stopped quite abruptly by me as they were amongst a group of people walking in the opposite direction which meant I had to jump in the middle of them to get her attention. Thinking that I had immediately gotten off to a bad start I apologised for the startling her, but she wasn’t fazed at all.
In fact, after going through my blurb she couldn’t wait to have her portrait taken and then promptly warned me that she was a massive Ham in front of cameras.
So off we went chasing the shade in a small lane way & took lots & lots of varied shots. If you’re wondering if she “hammed it up” well I guess the portrait that I have chosen says it all.
Stavroula is of Greek descent, as you may have already guessed and is currently working for an animation company.
I loved her quirky & unique dress style which was also reflected in her upbeat & outgoing personality. We parted ways both feeling happy with the encounter.

As we where waiting for our train (it was around 4 hours late) Giovi was thinking .. don't ask me about what, but he was really immersed in his thoughts. To fill the time, I started shooting him, trying to play with angles, light and so on. This is one of the bost shots of that evening.
