Woke up this morning at 9:35AM exact. Walked upstairs, looked around. Motionless. Made my way to the washroom and stood there. Looked at myself. I'm not proud at the moment. But, someday I will be. I have the guts to look at my reflection at think about things. Think about the changes to come.

Make what you will of this one :)-

It's that time of the year again kiddies ... ;)

"Ora non ho freddo ma stenterei a riconoscere il calore

e camminando in mezzo alla marea umana mi fermo a pensare ma non trovo niente

occhi chiusi io li chiuderò per questo

occhi chiusi nessuna codardia

occhi chiusi spero di non riaprirli più

occhi chiusi

occhi chiusi"

“The gala-activists deserve respect not prison” says Greenpeace

21 days in jail without trial? Greenpeace demonstrated against the continued imprisonment of four peaceful activsts today.

This one day I left the TV on pause and when I came back, the TV was like this and I lol'd.

I think this is the Homer Skips Church episode, and he just told Reverend Love Joy to think about some Bible quote he misquoted.

I began thinking about this subject as I arrived at my lunch time walking area and there was a man in the parking lot next to his car doing Tai Chi. My thought was this guy is in a parking lot and could walk 30 yards in any direction and be in a wooded area away from the cars and other people and he is oblivious to this and everything else for that matter as he didn't even notice me as I walked by. I decided to do a picture of myself in "my happy place" blocking out all those other thoughts, schedules, creepy people lurking in trees, etc. and this is the result but i also thought about my happy place. Up until I took this image (or in this case 5 images) I thought it was hiking in the smokies and how that has changed over the years, when in high school and college it was on a basketball court, that was replaced with a golf course after college and now it is the smokies, but that isn't it, I realized that it isn't a place it is a state of mind that i am in when in those places, All involve something competitive, whether me against a competitor, the course, or the mountain and i realized that it is the state of mind and not the place. Which brings me full circle to the guy in the parking lot, oblivious to the world in his happy place.

No PS. No ND grad either.

From the Serpentine road at Tayport. If you ordered anything from Iceland today and it didn't turn up; this is where the van broke down!

...it liquifies your brain.

Did you know that silly putty fun with a silly putty tool makes for a silly putty boy? Well, if this doesn't convince you, then nothing will! Hope it doesn't freak you out too much, my friends. This actually makes me jiggle, erm, giggle! Uh, whatever it is a person does when they laugh after their brains have turned to liquid. :D ROFL! (Weird, I know. :P)

Volunteered at the food pantry today. In her orientation speech, the founder said one thing that stuck in my mind all day.

"Close your eyes, and think of the person that you love the most-the person you'd do anything for.

Think of them having to come to this pantry today, and treat every person who walks through these doors with the same love that you have for that person-treat them as you would treat that person.

Treat the people working next to you in the exact same way."

That was what's been on my mind all day.

She walks down the street, slowly, her hands wrapped around her; she's feeling cold, but she doesn't have a coat or jacket on-just a simple t-shirt and worn out jeans. Her hair flows out behind her, but her hair is dry and unkempt, as if she hasn't showered in a long time.

Her stomach growls; it hurts from being so empty and not having eaten anything in a few days. Even then, she lifts her head up and keeps walking; she's not going to stop until she reaches the homeless shelter, even though she's coming back empty handed.

Bloggers on excursion at the kick-off event for TH!NK ABOUT IT #2 on Climate Change.
