Walking the shoreline in a steady snow has such a wild welcome about it. Knowing that every step is somehow tread on no man's land, soon to be buried in a returning tide. First the storm will hide my footprints, then the water washes what remains, as I stumble through a world of utter desolation. Everyone who lives along the Bay of Fundy knows that we've got the widest ranging tides in the world. It's something taught from birth, a proud fact for the few who actually live in reach. But I know the experience isn't widely shared, because I can almost always have it to myself. How often can that be true about any natural beauty so distinct on Earth? Just find your little pocket of the great rising fall to wander, through Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, and you'll belong before long, I'm sure.

Hawkins, 1983. The young boy Will Byers vanishes mysteriously. His mother, Joyce and the Police Chief Jim Hopper start to investigate – and so do the friends of Will: Mike, Lucas and Dustin. The children meet a girl, Eleven, who has psychokinetic abilities and joins the boys’ team to fight together against the Demogorgon.
Relive the moments of Netflix’s Stranger Things with this modular LEGO creation. Find and save Will in the Upside Down with Jim. See Joyce taking off the receiver under the Christmas decoration lights. Face the terrifying Demogorgon with El and separate again the dimensions of our world.
This creation has two moduls. The first one is the real world with the back of Byers’ house and behind it with Will’s mini lodge, the Byers Castle. The second modul is the parallel and desolate dimension, the world of the Demogorgon.
There are seven minifigures included in this creation: Will Buyers, Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, Eleven, Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper. And of course, a brick-built Demogorgon.

I don't know why I am so fascinated by self-reflections, I don't even like to show my face online, but still I can't stop myself from snapping&posting some shots whenever I see a shiny or wet surface...I think I am living the dream of combining utter shyness and paranoia with an unbearable urge to share every (reflected) aspect of my daily life in the best city in the world with the world+dog...maybe I did hit my head when I had that horrible bike accident 2 months ago, and now I am suffering from this serious, untreatable condition that forces me to upload more and more wicked self shots to the Interwebs in a nightmarish Flickr-frency...oh well, could be worse, at least I am not naked, hahaha ;-D

Colorado Springs, CO - While waiting on our drinks at Triple S Brewery Allan (an old friend, he's not old I've just known him for a long time) started pointing things out. Come to think of it he does start many conversations with "Have you ever noticed..?" He'll point out the obvious things that none of us noticed because that's how Allan rolls. See? I bet you didn't realize that no matter how you look at this picture he's always point at you.
I've been tagged by Rose but won't tag anyone back as most of my contacts have already done this. So here goes
1. I am the biggest Bruce Sprinsteen fan and once spent £200 on a ticket to see him in concert.
2. My favourite colour is pink.
3. My middle name is Gabriel. It's also my Mum's middle name and was my Nan's maiden name so it's a little bit of family history being passed along.
4. All the drinks I love best begin with a "C" - Champagne, Campari, Cosmolitans, Cocktails.
5. I have suffered from insomnia from about the age of 6 and find people who fall asleep as soon as their heads touch the pillow very annoying!
6. Every year I reread my favourite novel "The Summer Before" by Patricia Windsor.
7. My ideal man would be Michael Portillo - handsome, intelligent and a sense of humour, the perfect combination.
8. I often find things hysterically funny when no one else is laughing.
9. Last summer I spent some of my redundancy money on Gastric Band surgery and have since lost 7 stones. The best thing I ever did.
10. I love swimming and do my best thinking whilst ploughing up and down a pool.
11. I started writing a diary in January 1974 and have done so ever since and kept them all.
12. For 10 years I couldn't afford a holiday and now try to go somewhere interesting at least once a year.
13. If I could buy anything, I would my my old flat back that I sold last year and regretted ever since.
14. I would love to have lived in the 1920's and 30's. I love the clothes, the shoes, the cars, everything.
15. I am a real worrier and pessimist and live by the rule "Always expect the worst and you never get disappointed". Sad but true.
16. Meeting new friends on Flickr helped me through a really bad time when my Dad was terminally ill and I'd moved to an area where I didn't know anyone and life sucked. Thanks everyone!

This location opened in the late 2000s and relocated here in 2016; it was previously a Levin's of Virginia/Levin's Brass Beds. It became part of Kids Foot Locker in 2016.
How things have changed, Horse Cove just west of Dawlish was a great place to take pictures , it was best from about 15:00 onwards there was a large flat area above the railway where you could sit and see the trains coming out of Dawlish , my girlfriend Lesley and i spent many happy hours here sunbathing and talking pictures, we never had problems being there, it is right next to the Devon Coastal path the fence having long since fell down. it all changed now the Coastal path is all pallasied fenced , you can still see the spot where we sat but you can not get near it now. in this picture we see Class 47 47576 Kings Lynn passing by with a ballast train. 26/06/1990. O happy days KC.

this cake has all of the birthday boy's favourite things. polo (hence the polo horse and field), cadillacs, captain jack sparrow (with the birthday boy's face) and of course his lovely girlfriend (who actually bought this cake for him). i decided to do jack sparrow without his overcoat as i thought i could put in more detail that way. the thing with the girl holding up one of her shoes was a special request from the client.

Things started moving rather quickly once the India- Pakistan border closing ceremonies got over. The same cheerleader who was keeping the audience hysterical and shouting nationalistic words was now urging everyone to clear out pretty quickly. He kept saying that the ceremonies are now over, and this is a high security area, so everyone should go out the same way they came it from as quickly as possible. Please vacate the area as quickly as possible, this is a high security area, he kept repeating again and again into the loudspeaker. (India-Pakistan border at Wagah, near Amritsar, India, Nov. 2017)
