⸻Noctrya Collection.’

▶ A reverie of shadow and stillness.

Where quiet rituals unfold beneath the hush of candlelight, our collection captures the allure of the unknown; objects steeped in memory, framed in the calm of midnight. Rooted in chiaroscuro and reflection, Noctrya evokes the beauty of what lingers unseen; the delicate balance between light, loss, and longing.

♦ Noctrya marks Theory’s debut at Equal10; a 14-piece ensemble curated in reverence to form and feeling. Our fatpack offers an exclusive edition of the Curator’s Cabinet, stripped of its garland and adorned with additional wood finishes.

Happy Window Wednesday! This scene is from inside OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science nd Industry) on the banks of the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon.

The Black Swan Theory or "Theory of Black Swan Events" was developed by Nassim Nicholas Taleb to explain: 1) the disproportionate role of high-impact, hard to predict, and rare events that are beyond the realm of normal expectations in history, science, finance and technology, 2) the non-computability of the probability of the consequential rare events using scientific methods (owing to their very nature of small probabilities) and 3) the psychological biases that make people individually and collectively blind to uncertainty and unaware of the massive role of the rare event in historical affairs. Unlike the earlier philosophical "black swan problem", the "Black Swan Theory" (capitalized) refers only to unexpected events of large magnitude and consequence and their dominant role in history. Such events, considered extreme outliers, collectively play vastly larger roles than regular occurrences.

This creation is a tribute to Julian Assange from Wikileaks. Activist, Fighter for the Truth, warrior against the establishment. He is the Black Swan.

Julian Assange has placed a small encrypted file entitled Insurance History on the Swedish Server of Pirate Bay (specialist in the illegal download of music and film music). On Twitter, he recommends that his followers download the file and await his instructions…

The theory is that this columnar basalt formed less than 100,000 years ago when a cooling lava flow cracked into multi-sided columns. However, if you ask the Group of Ten Now Nine Hiking Club, they will tell you they interrupted a sasquatch-like creature sharping its claws. Poor Elmer didn't run as quickly as the other nine members.

Abaut The Matrix:

The Matrix is a 1999 science fiction film written and directed by The Wachowskis, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, and Joe Pantoliano. It depicts a dystopian future in which reality as perceived by most humans is actually a simulated reality called "the Matrix", created by sentient machines to subdue the human population, while their bodies' heat and electrical activity are used as an energy source. Computer programmer Neo learns this truth and is drawn into a rebellion against the machines, which involves other people who have been freed from the "dream world."

The Matrix is known for popularizing a visual effect known as "bullet time", in which the heightened perception of certain characters is represented by allowing the action within a shot to progress in slow-motion while the camera's viewpoint appears to move through the scene at normal speed. The film is an example of the cyberpunk subgenre.[5] It contains numerous references to philosophical and religious ideas, and prominently pays homage to works such as Plato's Allegory of the Cave,[6] Jean Baudrillard's Simulacra and Simulation[7] and Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.[8] The Wachowskis' approach to action scenes drew upon their admiration for Japanese animation and martial arts films, and the film's use of fight choreographers and wire fu techniques from Hong Kong action cinema influenced subsequent Hollywood action film productions.

The Matrix was first released in the United States on March 31, 1999, and grossed over $460 million worldwide. It was well-received by critics[10][11] and won four Academy Awards, as well as other accolades, including BAFTA Awards and Saturn Awards. Reviewers praised The Matrix for its innovative visual effects, cinematography and entertainment value. The film's premise was both criticized for being derivative of earlier science fiction works and praised for being intriguing. The action also polarized critics, some describing it as impressive, but others dismissing it as a trite distraction from an interesting premise.

A mini quilt made with leftover 1" squares! It is quilted with random, 1/4" spaced straight lines ( a combination of ideas given by quiltedoma and threekitchenfairies!) . The binding is sewn to the front and I will hand-sew it to the back this weekend at a sew-in.

With Cloud Theory, Container Brewing plan to continually experiment with this style of beer and the hops that get added to it. Hops aren’t the only thing added to beer, yeast is too. With this batch Container tried something with a different yeast which resulted in a beer that’s not so hazy. Still delicious and the nitro dosing allows the Azacca, El Dorado and Simcoe hops to shine

Finally! It's complete and bound! And I entered it in the Modern Quilt Guild Showcase tonight.

Each row was made by a bee-mate out of a single color of fabric samples I provided to them. Natalia Bonner did the amazing quilting using 12 different colors of thread. LOVE THIS QUILT!!
