So for this theme we had to choose an Olympic event, and re-create it with our models! at first i wanted to go with either swimming or gymnastics, but then i decided to go with a sport that doesnt really get much coverage in the olympics, i thought about rythmic gymnastics, but in the end went with boxing because i didnt even know it was an olympic event before looking it up! Katsumi is representing her home country Japan in this photo, and i hope you like it!
My little sculpture of those "flying" men .. up, up and diagonally away!

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty Five, "Meet Shadow" theme, first shot.
Here we are. Today I begin the twelfth and last theme of the “365 Days of RX1: one camera, one lens, twelve projects”. It has been a long voyage, especially since it started right at the very end of my previous and first 365 project: “365(+1) Days of NEX-7”. It’s almost two years that I have this daily appointment!
Now, I had several ideas on how to procede for the last theme, most of which related with the concept of “end”. However I’m not very good with farewells. So I guess I couldn’t have never really done any theme about the end, to end this 365.
For as many ideas I may have had, I ended up not having much choice anyway. For various reasons, which I’ll be explaining in the next days, our life, our home, and our agenda has been suddenly revolutionised by this new family member. She’s Ombra (lit. shadow), a four months old tricolour black Australian Shepherd female. She arrived last week, and as you may know if you ever had a dog, I’ll have to spend the next few weeks dog-sitting her all the time I can. Because she has to adapt to her new environment (our environment), because she has to learn how to behave with her new family (us), and because she has to be trained to behave as a good citizen dog and she needs the training right now.
So, basically, besides work and parenthood, my remaining (little) free time will have to be entirely devoted to Ombra and her training (and a bit of family training too, since Claudia met my dog Lucy when the latter was already five years old and well trained, so she doesn’t know how to cope with puppies, let alone Agata, which is two and doesn’t know much of anything). Hence, my last theme got somehow forced due to lack of free time. In “Meet Shadow” I’ll be looking at the effects of the introduction of Ombra on my family, and at the ways we will bond together in the next, crucial, thirty days.
So, here she is keeping me company during a session of nightly post-production. Welcome to “Meet Shadow”.
Theme Rules:
This theme is all about discovering oversized objects in our miniature dolly worlds. From absurdly large everyday replicas found in dolly dioramas to glamorous fashion shoots featuring jumbo furniture and accessories, there are many ways to tip the 1/6 scale scale! Think whimsical fashion editorials filled with jumbo flowers, gigantic hair bows, and out of scale chairs. Think playful beach themed photoshoots with six-scoop ice cream cones, oversized sunglasses, and supersized frozen daiquiris. Or perhaps your doll is part of a fantastical scene where she is literally stepping in or out of a storybook or picture frame. Whether enchanting or humorous, there’s always room for these extra large items. Show us how even the tiniest of dolly universes can be larger than life!
About this photo:
I tried a few other ideas for this theme, and nothing was coming out the way I planned. Since the end of the month is approaching, I decided to settle on this "simpler" idea. X-MEN's Psylocke plays model for a day with pretty oversized pink flowers as her X-Large props. A glimpse of her demure side.

New Christmas Livery Virgin train No. 91128 (Claus 91) is seen heading past Spittal at Berwick-Upon-Tweed
Working the 1S10 King's Cross - Edinburgh Waverly service.
The new livery came about when Virgin ran a nationwide competition in which school children got the chance to design a Christmas theme livery Train.
Virgin trains had such a huge response and two winners were picked Madeleine Deakin aged 11. with her Christmas theme train called Claus 91 which runs on the East Coast Main Line .
The other is Pendolino Train which is called Penguilino and was designed by Amber Maxfield aged 9 and runs on the West Coast Main Line.
