Designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid but completed only after her death in 2016, this sinuous, metal and glass, chevron-patterned condominium is her first building in New York City. The building’s official website notes that Hadid’s international body of work favors “graceful curves inspired by nature,” which this unusual building strives to capture. There are 39 residences and a sculpture deck will eventually open on the south side of the building.

Taken at dusk and hand held - explaining the high ISO. But the view from where I was standing was amazing and it had to be taken.

Whenever I am in NY, I can't help but look at the massive size if the city and think about all the life that is taking place - even in this small frame of a shot. Who knows what was occurring in the moment I took this... so many possibilities.

One Fine Day in the Big Apple

feels lonely to be on top of the world

Central Park is een van de plaatsen die van New York zo’n aantrekkelijke stad maken. Het enorme park, 341 hectare groot, ligt in het centrum van Manhattan

We're going to New York on Sunday :0) see you all soon!

One Fine Day in the Big Apple

Held every year in the village of Much Marcle in Herefordshire. One of my favourite events of the year, with apple tastings, unusual apple varieites for sale, apple identifications, orchard tours, andso forth.

This year I just went to make some contacts for getting the apples in the Cefn Ila orchard identified.

these are some of the varieites on display, a few of which were also for sale on another stall.

Sometimes big cities can be quite intimidating, more so when landing in an enormous city as New York, however, all I needed to feel at home was Hebrew on the walls.

My first journey to NYC was everything I had expected and more. This shot of the Manhattan Bridge consists of three images taken at 16mm and merged into a panoramic image via Lightroom. I simply could not accept only capturing a small section of the bridge!
