Not sure what to call this but trying new stuff. Next week I will be back to seascapes...
Inspired by a recent photo club meeting going back to hand tinting and selective colouring on film. Flower was blue and selected and converted to red then background desaturated. Texture added twice and rotated. Orton effect added also.
textured with Kim Klassen's Isobel from the Downton Abby Collection II
Brush from My Art Journal Brush Set.
I think I'm crazy...well at least my family thinks I'm crazy! I took a bunch of pictures of this texture...now I just need to learn how to do layers on my photo-editing program.
Can anyone guess what it is???
I like the texture in this image and also the birds eye view gives it a cool look. I increased the saturation to enhance the yellow paint.
Small lovely daffodils were just opening up along the side of the road. I had to lay down along the curb to take the picture from eye level. Lucky for me the street was not heavily trafficked.
The original is below. I had fun with Photoshop on this one. Thanks for the textures go to SkeletalMess.

This weekend was dedicated to macro photography.
The gravel texture pictured here is of a golf cart pathway that has obviously been weathered over the years. It was challenging looking for subjects that provided either rich colors, strong contrast and great details.
Here is image 365:30b. Enjoy!

10x6.978 inches Digital Photography with traditional editing. I chose the subjects of my photos based on the many intricate details each one had. The details help to develop the texture of the subject matter in the photograph. Based on each photograph one can feel the texture with their eyes in a manner of speaking. These textures vary from the sharpness of the cacti needles, the smoothness of the leaves, the roughness of the rocks, and the bumpy grain and fine pieces of the wood. All of these photos were edited traditionally with basic levels, curves, and saturation. One of the largest challenges of this project was getting close up to the subject without getting out of focus. Another challenge was composing the photograph with a focus point and the texture. It was very easy to take photos of dirt and grass for texture but they are truthfully boring photos. I tried to have a focus point in each of my final photographs this week.
