I pulled out this old shot of the Mill Pond from several years ago. The color was a mess and there were a couple of other things that needed to be corrected. Improvements to my skills and to Photoshop allowed me to produce a better image. I one of my own textures, but applied it twice.
I tried, I really tried, to create an image for tomorrow's Macro Mondays group theme, Vegetables, but I'm afraid I failed miserably. I did, however, take a photo of this single clove of garlic, which reminded me of a little bird. A wren, perhaps? The image originally had a white background, but I liked it better when I added a texture (by FrenchKiss). Since only 'limited editing' is allowed, I won't be adding this to the group, but here's my 'Not Macro Mondays' image anyway. Better luck next week, maybe. :)

and sinking in this sea is sweet to me.

Being down with the flu is not a whole lot of fun but it does give an opportunity to review images when you don't feel much like doing anything at all. This one was taken in January of 2016. Lake Huron was not frozen over but there was lots of ice buildup along the shoreline and I was interested in trying to capture some of the textures.

Roses ~George Eliot
You love the roses - so do I. I wish
The sky would rain down roses, as they rain
From off the shaken bush. Why will it not?
Then all the valley would be pink and white
And soft to tread on. They would fall as light
As feathers, smelling sweet: and it would be
Like sleeping and yet waking, all at once
I love these worn pieces of stoneware so I arranged and arranged until I was happy. I'm sure this image won't strike a lot of interest and that's okay. I like it ;D

2 of my own textures + a texture photoshop filter - hopefully making a dreamy scene reminiscent of days gone by
On a very gray day, the colors ended up monotone and the textures and rust popped a bit more. But in the end it has a bit of a dystopian vibe.

Sometimes I find myself so absorbed in trying to capture something that I get in everybody's way :-/. In this case, the light was bouncing off a wooden 'rockery' at Biddulph Grange, and the path was narrow, and there were crowds of people pushing past... I took several photos and this was the best (blown highlights and all). I love the texture of the wood. And need to go back on a quieter day.
Thanks for looking!
I love the old textured glass. This is an old window I bought several years ago. I have finally decided to hang it as art! HWW!
Thank you Ana Lebann for your texture with the help of mauel PS also.
It's been a sunny and snow laden day in the Chicago suburbs. I've been out all day so I am posting now.
Enjoy the week end.
