this material is the side netting of a backpack.
Didn't notice it was a rather complicated texture until this shot was taken.

Textures, rock textures on Parton beach near Whitehaven. I just love the curving textures of these rocks.

One of the last shots I took after the sun had gone down one evening. With my tripod kept low to capture the textures in the sand and ripples in the flowing water down the beach, I also wanted to capture the people way down on the waters edge to emphasize the flatness of this beach and how far the tide goes out. Keeping a low PoV enabled me to capture the light and colour reflecting back off the water and wet sand.
I took a couple more shots then i off to the pub for a couple of pints of ale. Croyde bay North Devon.

Watkins Glen State Park is in the village of Watkins Glen, south of Seneca Lake in Schuyler County in New York's Finger Lakes region. Known for its natural beauty, the Watkins Glen State Park features a series of waterfalls and gorges that are sure to amaze anyone. An almost two mile hike will take you past 19 waterfalls and up over 800 stone steps. We spent a morning there in October; it was a true bucket list experience. We went on a weekday morning, so there weren’t a lot of people. The water flow was down, but the fall colors were at their peak. The manmade stonework blends seamlessly with the natural stone, like it was made by the dwarfs of Middle Earth. The hike was so amazing I didn’t even notice the 800 steps.
I processed this picture in Photoshop using four textures.

I'll run my heart out for you,
Because running is what I love to do.
And all I ask in return, from you,
Is soft hands, and a voice kind and true.
I'll push myself through the barrier of pain,
I'll run like the wind, through sun and rain.
And all I ask is a warm stable,
And hugs and carrots, when you're able.
I'll run to win, a head, a length,
Even when I can feel my failing strength.
And all I ask is an encouraging pat,
When I don't come first, just give me that.
A bucket of water, a manger of grain,
A good rub down, to soothe the strain.
Turn me out in a field of green and gold
And my heart you'll have, it's true and bold.
Had a couple of hours in the sunshine with Jan, taking a few and this was one of mine.

Like the northern lights I completely missed out on the rare appearance of snow down here this week. North Dorset, Wiltshire and even Weston got a dumping but nothing whatsoever on the South Coast.
Still what can beat seeing snow covered mountains? Taken handheld with my 200mm lens which has been repaired (after I slipped on ice and dropped it). I was £500 lighter but I'm getting it back through my home insurance and it's like a new lens. Result!
I bet North Wales is even more beautiful this week but its maybe unlikely I'd be able to get around.
Have a lovely weekend x
I processed this geranium in Elements, Topaz Studio and then applied a Topaz texture. Just something different.
Thanks for views, comments and favs :)
Well really only two years, but it seems like longer. Two years ago last autumn we were driving down this one lane road in Ohio when we came upon this beautiful tree hanging over the road, so I stopped and took several pictures. Since then I have tried several times to make something out of this image and failed every time, until now. I didn’t do anything different this time, I think I just cropped it better. I processed it in Photoshop and used two of my own textures on it.
