I am very pleasantly surprised at the number of positive comments this upload received. It is my very first 'public' showing of work with textures - a technique that I find that only few can do really well. Thank you all.
I have started a Gallery showing examples of such work
Texture by Boccacino.
Saturday Self Challenge
For this challenge we will explore one of my favorite topics: Texture. Find a subject that has texture and take a photo that accentuates the different facets of it. Colour or black and white is fine, process in any way that accents the texture of your subject as needed.
I’ve had this scarf for many years, I hardly ever wear it simply because of its texture it tends to get a bit itchy. I tried folding it up all neat for the photo shoot, but that didn’t work very well. In the end I just scrunched it into a pile, took the photos, then processed it using the mirror effect in Affinity Photo. I did try it in B&W but it just didn’t work.
Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.
We have had a very damp fall and the mushrooms are loving it.
