I took some shots from the back of a boat and saw a nice mix of waves. It created a nice texture. To make it colorful, I added a rainbow texture and some softness.
I love the colour and texture of the bracken in late autumn , add into the mix the amazing birch tree bark, cracked like an elephants hide along with the sprinkling of autumnal leaves with the mist makes for a varied canvas.

Thought I would push myself in another direction and photograph some natural textures in the Australian Bush.
We crunch, shovel, gobble burp, belch, squeak and grunt,
our tails are curly as a slinky, wiggly as a helter-skelter

Badger by John Clare
When midnight comes a host of dogs and men
Go out and track the badger to his den,
And put a sack within the hole, and lie
Till the old grunting badger passes by.
He comes and hears - they let the strongest loose.
The old fox hears the noise and drops the goose.
The poacher shoots and hurries from the cry,
And the old hare half wounded buzzes by.
They get a forked stick to bear him down
And clap the dogs and take him to the town,
And bait him all the day with many dogs,
And laugh and shout and fright the scampering hogs.
He runs along and bites at all he meets:
They shout and hollo down the noisy streets.

Interesting is the way, the spider makes the filament sticky: It covers it whilst spinning with a protein glue film. The glue breakes up by surface tension to a pattern of bigger and smaller droplets.

The town of Breckenridge was started as a mining town in the Gold Rush Age in the late 1800's. It was a boom, bust era, as the town grew from striking gold, then silver, then very little happened until the dredges came in and dredged the Blue River that runs through the small town. Today It's mostly a great place to ski, vacation, fish and tour with beautiful views from every angle.

One can live through all tribulations and disappointments by constantly standing firm and then taking new steps. This is a primal trust which in the face of all the attacks of frustration and despair becomes a lasting hope. In this way one can practise the virtue of perseverantia, of holding fast, of persistence, of endurance.
