Nothing like seeinig Angkor's magnificent ruins from a bird's eye view, huh?

my shorn hair (from every haircut i have had since 1994) in a glass bowl.

the safety, security and wisdom of duplicating this is questionable. ie. this was just a stunt to see if it could be done. :)

Two players tethered with a bungee cord, each trying to make as many baskets as possible. Lots of fun!

A bit of an abstract of a hull of a old row boat in Fells Point. The yellow rust pattern caught my attention as well as the contrast with the inky black water. Cropped to show this section.

The tether is to prevent his nose from wetting the camera lens

Our final morning started with our first ever experience in a hot air balloon for a view over the site of Angkor.

The Angkor Balloon is tethered to the spot so you literally float into the sky some distance to the west of Angkor Wat for some unforgettable distant views of that temple.

Owing to the distance and dense jungle that surrounds the sites we couldn't make out any of the other temples apart from Angkor Wat, but I'm sure being equipped with a better camera and zoom lens than I then had would have made a big difference.

Certainly the sweeping view over the entire landscape at such a height was an amazing experience!

Gorgeous day. Took a break from putting a new roof on the garage to photograph this cool telephone pole against the brilliant blue sky.

On location shoots can be super difficult if you have never been to that venue or are limited to what you have space to use and bring. This particular location was in a hotel lobby in Boston, MA with no outside light, gross beige walls and tungsten lights. On top of that, I didn't have room to set up a back drop so I had to use the wall in the corner.

These were shot with a Phase One 645AF body, P25 Digital Back and an 80mm lens using two Profoto Acute heads. One high in front with an octabox and the other behind the subject against the wall with a couple napkins over it to diffuse the light.

I was tethered directly to my mac and using capture one's software to get a look at them as I was shooting. This was also awesome cause I could remove the gross beige color from the wall behind them as I shot so it saved me hours of post work.

The pilot dropped the strap to the crew who pulled us over this field and we landed there.

The Super Bowl is this Sunday. Over 70,000 people will pack into Houston’s NRG stadium for the big game, while hundreds of thousands more will descend on the Texas city to join the festivities.

And a lot of people means a lot of smartphones.

To deal with the data demands, AT&T, Verizon...
