Conclusion: this city looks like any other one (hard to believe it was almost completely destroyed during war), but I had the feeling people are much more warm here than in Kanto and even Kansai.

Conclusion : cette ville ressemble à n'importe quelle autre (difficile de croire qu'elle a été presque entièrement rasée durant la guerre), mais j'ai eu le sentiment que les gens y sont beaucoup plus chaleureux que dans le Kanto ou même le Kansai.

Testing my new mini slave flash (Morris mini Slave Flash Plus), to try and remove the shadow created by having just one flash.

Test photo with a Sigma 400mm f5.6 Pentax K mount lens I picked up for $13 at a thrift store. Not a bad price!
The aperture lever was broken at its pivot point in the lens body, but I've got it working. The camera can't stop the lens down for metering, but that's fine; I can just set the aperture and meter manually.
I love when I can fix things!

My first attempt using my borrowed "Opus OPL-M40 40WS AC Slave Flashes" from the great, Sir Jack Hillman.
Just got Peter to stand in the frame as I testing some different setups.
Setup: One flash on the ground behind him, pointing up , and one over my head pointing down.
will be revised to be uniform. Those rafter tails should look great painted white and peaking out beneath the flashing
