Testing out the beauty dish plus BOWENS bracket mount I picked up from GadgetInifity - with a Nikon SB900 as the light source
My son and his girls are seeing how fast they can jack the car, gas it, change a tire and let it down. If was a fun thing for people to test theirselves. Lasr shot of NASCAR for now.

My friend Raad stands on top of an old hut built on the peak of Mt. Adams. Now dilapidated and filled with snow and ice, it makes a decent spot to sit down off of the snow after summiting. The sky at that elevation takes on a very dark blue hue, very cool! Elev. 12,280 feet. Washington, USA.
I've moved the Speed Graphic to the office where I'll be able to dedicate some time to it. With the original test bellows not a million miles away from what I need, I've laid it in place. The next test will need proper measurements though.

Ich habe hier mal wieder was getestet.
Würde mich interessieren was ihr davon haltet. Vielleicht mache ich das nächste mal noch eins.
Network Rail's electrification test train runs south towards Sharnbrook Summit on 15th May. Not long now until we customers get cr*ppy outer suburban EMU's from Wellingborough ! And a right old mix of vehicles. Looks like five Mk III's, a DVT, a pair of 91's, all topped and tailed by a pair of 47s
Shortly before he took off, I got this picture of him testing his wings. He did fly off so I hope he will be okay. At least he didn't get stepped on or swept away by a broom!

Sometimes what’s out of focus can make the shot. Create a photograph today where some/all of your subject isn't in focus.
These computers live in the testing department at work. My intention was to capture the cascading motion of the "Matrix" screen saver in a blur of green drippy numbers and letters. But it was the bright red lights that caught my eye when I uploaded the photo. At first, I thought they were reflections from my camera. But on closer inspection, one is actually the light on a mouse, and the other, my favorite part of the whole photo, is the EXIT sign at the far end of the room, reflected a little bit blurry and backwards, in the monitor! :-)
I've tested Hopper Medium, Light and Bold with fabricated italics with a test text copied from Wikipedia (The Dark Side Of The Moon). Prints made with a laser desktop printer.
Texts were set in 8/11 and 6/9 points but because of the extra big x-height and huge counters the 8/11 still looks... big.
Anyway I liked spacing - used not optical spacing of InDesign but the build in one - worth the long hours.
Now it is time to kern... and build features. And draw a good italic for the weights... and... :)
Hopper comes soon.
VCC Hampshire Section ride organised by Andrew. I chose, rather rashly, to double the distance by riding to and from the start, making it my first 50 mile of the year.

Faisais des tests de lumière de nuit dans un parc. La main c'était pour vérifier la profondeur de champ. Je sais, c'est d'aucun intérêt. Je la trouvais amusante :-)
Was testing lighting at night in a park. Testing too DoF with my arm. This pic ain't interesting, I know. I just thought it was funny. I dedicated it to Kathleen. I'm sure she'll love ;-) x
