We bought an inexpensive underwater camera for $25 from Rite Aid and tested it out in the pool today - not bad for something so inexpensive, and it came with the software to be able to edit, tweek, and upload to myspace, facebook, you tube, and flicr!

This Pennies for the Planet event took place in Hermitage, Pennsylvania with the Hermitage School district. Teacher Nancy Bires led the festivities, including songs about birds and nature. Students read green pledges. And special guest (and Project Puffin founder) Steve Kress gave a presentation and judged a puffin calling contest.
Back in 2002 I was curious if this old acrylic clear PC passed FCC Part 15 radiated emissions. So into the anechoic chamber it went. It did not pass, but it looked good doing it. I don't remember for sure but I'm thinking this was probably an AMD Duron, maybe 700 Mhz, overclocked to who knows what back then. They overclocked fairly well compared to the K6-2 and K6-3 predecessors.

Testing A-setting for fill light outdoors Pentax K-1, FA* 2.8 80-200mm. Two speedlights. 125s F/8. JPGs with no editing except crop and resize. I was using a Godox X-Pro(P) trigger for the Godox flash. A non-TTL cord for the Pentax flash.
PS: In the real world it's not enough to measure the insident light in the model face/in the shadow. You must measure the light at the background as well. The background should rule the shutter speed and aperture. The flash light should add some light to the ambient light, hitting the model. So the flash (key light) should match the shooting aperture.
Test of special effects. Still looking for a replacement photo editing program. This was done with a trial version of a program. Program costs more than I want. How hard can it be to find a program that can do both layers and has a simple line draw?

Got the results from my exam in the mail today... and I passed! I am an official CMP, (that's a certified meeting professional for those not in the meetings world). I OWNED that test! Well, actually after months of classes and studying and pretty much not having a summer, I was confident I had failed. I may be the worst test taker in the world. In college I would actually fall asleep during my tests after staying up all night worrying about it. This process felt like college all over again. I may not have owned the test, but who cares... I PASSED! IT'S OVER! WHEW!
Thanks to BP for helping me open the envelope! :)
