ink, colored pencil and graphite on paper – 15 x 18.5 in)
When presented with the assignment of drawing a pair of models I decided to try to develop a feeling of tension between them by having one with his back to the viewer and capturing the body language and facial expressions of the other in reaction as withdrawn and strained. Veins extend from its surface like twitching tendrils, lightly brushing the cracked floor as it moves. Flickering overhead lights cast eerie reflections across its glossy pupil, which scans the room with slow, deliberate motion. The camera glides backward as the creature approaches, its tendrils dragging across rusted pipes, loose wires, and peeling walls. Dust hangs in the air, glowing softly in shafts of cold light from a broken window. The atmosphere is tense, surreal, and cinematic—mixing biological horror with sci-fi mystery. Hyper-detailed 4K textures, slow ambient movement, echoing mechanical hums.
