She was an educator, temperance reformer, and women's suffragist. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have agreed with all her beliefs, nevertheless, I respect any woman with the strength and courage to raise her voice.
For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of flying. Leaping off of a cliff and the first powerful downward stroke of my wings seems so familiar to me because this scene has repeated itself again and again in my dreams. In real life my palms get sweaty and my heart pounds in my chest when I get near to the edge. I force myself to the edge so that I don't have to admit defeat, but in truth, I am petrified. Perhaps it is my body's way of preventing me from leaping.

My niece has three boxers and she wanted them to be photographed. This one needed to be tempted with a titbit to pose.
No caption. Dad Saarosy is a railroad man so this is probably normal for him, but still...there's not much room to run if a train comes along.
We took a bus from Goreme to Istanbul - long trip but some beautiful county along the way. My wife picked out the hotel ... and it was interesting. In a very old neighborhood with bakeries, shops, and a ton of restaurants ... unfortunately it was at the bottom of the hill so we had steep climbs if we want to see anything.
I guess we were in a silly mood; we skipped many of the famous sights (which we saw before) and just spend a few days getting lost on purpose. Nice way to discover a different side of Istanbul.
