The Ananda Temple located in Bagan, Myanmar is a Buddhist temple built in 1105 AD during the reign (1084–1113) of King Kyanzittha of the Pagan Dynasty. It is one of four surviving temples in Bagan. The temple layout is in a cruciform with several terraces leading to a small pagoda at the top covered by an umbrella known as hti, which is the name of the umbrella or top ornament found in almost all pagodas in Myanmar. The Buddhist temple houses four standing Buddhas, each one facing the cardinal direction of East, North, West and South. The temple is said to be an architectural wonder in a fusion of Mon and adopted Indian style of architecture. The impressive temple has also been titled the "Westminster Abbey of Burma". The temple has close similarity to the Pathothamya temple of the 10th–11th century, and is also known as “veritable museum of stones”.
The temple was damaged in the earthquake of 1975. However, it has been fully restored and is well maintained by frequent painting and whitewashing of the walls. On the occasion of 900th anniversary of its construction celebrated in 1990 the temple spires were gilded. It is a highly revered temple of Bagan

Valley of the temples, Agrigento,Sicily.
Of all of the temples in the valley this one is the best preserved Doric style temple. It was constructed around 430 BC, but it is unclear as to which god it was erected for. The temple got its name from a Latin inscription found near the temple. The reason the temple remained intact is due in part to its being converted to a Christian church in the 6th century.

I've been wanting to explore in and around Temple Church since I first saw The Da Vinci Code (9 years ago!), I wanted to even more since I took up photography (3 years ago),
Well I finally got round to paying a visit....and it was closed, bitterly disappointed but I did have a most enjoyable wander in the sun around the Temple complex.
Thanks for taking the time to look, your comments are appreciated.

The preacher and the pulpit at the Temple of Sinawava gathered together by a sunstar. Sinawava refers to refers to the Coyote God of the Paiute Indians. The temple is found at the end of the road in the Zion Canyon. A paved trail along the Virgin River is one route towards the Narrows, a hike that is 65% in water and that leads further up the canyon and its narrowing cliffs. There are bathrooms at this spot, complete with an unending supply of soap and paper towels, along with a water refill station.
A replica of the 900 year old Buddhist Temple of Uji, Kyoto Prefecture nestled at the foot of the Ko'olau Mountain Range.
As you cross over the bridge to get to the temple, you are encouraged to ring a huge Bon-Sho sacred bell.
If you are heading to Oahu I would definitely recommend checking this place out.
Very tranquil and a magnificent scene.

Here I tried to mix cool blue and cyan tones with a little bit of lightweight pink and magenta. Of course this is not a true infrared image, mostly because of the filter - it blocks most of the visible spectre, but not all of it.
