A family walks inside a Buddhist Temple's grounds while on a retreat in Taiwan. I treated the image with a painterly, cartoonish effect and masked away the portion at the gate where the family was walking.

The presiding deity of this temple is Kashi Vishveshwara. The temple has a main Shiva Lingam and around four to five other lingams on the side of the Main Mantapa. The devotees believe that the water is the sacred Ganga falling from the head of Lord Shiva. Usually devotees drink this water or bathe in it because this holy water from Antaragange is believed to cleanse from diseases.

A replica of the 900 year old Buddhist Temple of Uji, Kyoto Prefecture nestled at the foot of the Ko'olau Mountain Range.
As you cross over the bridge to get to the temple, you are encouraged to ring a huge Bon-Sho sacred bell.
If you are heading to Oahu I would definitely recommend checking this place out.
Very tranquil and a magnificent scene.
The preacher and the pulpit at the Temple of Sinawava gathered together by a sunstar. Sinawava refers to refers to the Coyote God of the Paiute Indians. The temple is found at the end of the road in the Zion Canyon. A paved trail along the Virgin River is one route towards the Narrows, a hike that is 65% in water and that leads further up the canyon and its narrowing cliffs. There are bathrooms at this spot, complete with an unending supply of soap and paper towels, along with a water refill station.

Here I tried to mix cool blue and cyan tones with a little bit of lightweight pink and magenta. Of course this is not a true infrared image, mostly because of the filter - it blocks most of the visible spectre, but not all of it.

I have taken this shot before but wanted to go back and catch it at a different time of the year. The previous shot I had taken in the Autumn and some of the leaves in the Trees had started to turn orange and brown and the temple was well hidden by long grass in the foreground. In this shot the trees are Green and the grass directly in front of me had been trodden down more to reveal the temple more. My favourite bit of the photo is the tree in the foreground - I really like it angles inwards and leads the eye into the photo. This was a very bright sunny day so I needed to find somewhere where the light wasn't too harsh so I settled for the shelter of the trees. The shadows from the trees and the bright sky above the temple was still a challenge as were the large amount of other tourists who kept walking into the scene - perseverance won out eventually.

Erected in 1968 to celebrate the arrival a century earlier of Hawaii's first Japanese immigrants and to honor cultural ties between Japan and Hawaii, Oahu's Byodo-In Temple is a replica of the original Byōdō-in—a Buddhist temple in the city of Uji in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan that was built in the late Heian period (late 1100s).
Oahu's often-rainy Ko'olau Mountain Range provides a backdrop.
This temple of Shigon sect Buddhism was opened by Gyoki during the Tempyo period [ 729-749] and originally called Yakushiji temple .After the temple was severely damaged by a flood in 948.Saimi Shonin restored the temple and renamed it Gokokuin temple.The temples main sculpture of worship is Yakushi-Nyorai ,which is believed to be one of Gyokis works.
Ta Prohm temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built in Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara. It was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm has been left in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings.
Sevanavank is a monastic complex located on a peninsula at the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia, not far from the town of Sevan. Initially the monastery was built at the southern shore of a small island.
I was late getting to Wat Arun, so I didn't have much time before the sunlight was gone. I opted for a sunset timelapse (previous photo) and then did a short walk around the temple, which is quite impressive.
