Developed in secret, the Paragon Tempest is a helicopter built to raze a city. Armed with a fifteen foot explosive railgun, along with standard cannons and homing missiles. Steel girders crumble like paper. Infrastructure can be taken out in a tenth of the time previously required. Intermeshing rotors give incredible stability. Any attempts to ban this aircraft from combat have been...unsuccessful.
The Living Fortress: Tempest
Fun Facts:
- The MOC weights over 10 lbs (4.536 kg)
- Tempest is over 28 in (71.12 cm) tall from the top of the head
- This creation took about one year to plan, construct, and finalize
- Tempest was featured on LEGO’s Instagram story for 24 hours on August 5th, 2017
- The internal skeleton in 100% Technic and the exterior is system, zero Bionicle parts used
- The MOC features light up eyes, shoulders, and abdomen using 3rd party lights
- Tempest used zero ratchets joints for movement, exclusively using ball joints or gearing for smoother movement. Most joints require a gear to be turned for the joint to swivel.
- This is the 3rd version of the character, the 1st being an unfinished WIP that was made in 2012 and the 2nd was a fully Technic/Bionicle build from 2013.
This MOC was designed to have a full transformation into a spaceship, while incomplete, there are some concept pictures of what the final product would have looked like.
Bio:
A large mecha that is piloted and powered by multiple team members that are in the fight against Kairos. Constructed for land and space travel, specialized in hand-to-hand combat. It houses large racks of hidden missiles that can be deployed at will. After learning that a greater threat was found among the stars, this large craft was constructed by most inhabitants of the planet in an effort to free themselves from the constructed world Kairos had created.
Tempest is powered by Circuit, who uses her near endless amount of electrical energy to keep the lights on. Dominion uses his magnetism powers to help the servos move more efficiently during combat. Active patience and repairs are monitored by CPU, Factorie, and Lugnut of the biker gang. Piloting the mecha is Guradian in his origin form, possessing the central core of the Tempest and using it as his body.
While very large an imposing, the heroes are unaware if this will be enough to fight off against the being of time. Until then, they travel through space looking for their fight.
Quel giorno mi svegliai con la voglia di fare foto al mare col brutto tempo. Quindi guardai le previsioni meteorologiche e decisi la mia meta: Viareggio, molo di Levante. Non rimasi affatto deluso.

Looking more like pea soup than ocean, the waters of Cook Inlet are tempest-tossed by the remnants of a typhoon that impacted coastal Japan just a few days earlier. The winds are calmer now but the size of the storm is ominous and extensive rain falls along its path. A bear walks the beach, unaffected by the change in ambiance. For her, this is a pleasant day. Winters are far harsher than anything that summer brings. #BrownBear

The SNARL-wings, heavily inspired by Ralph's (Mad Phycisist) EF Typhoon, are excellent for achieving a nice angle on the delta wings' leading edges, and it's something I've been wanting to try out on a model of my own for a while. Incorporating a convincing-looking fractured camouflage pattern on top of that was another matter though, which I for quite some time wasn't even sure would be possible when using dark green as a main color. It required a fair bit of trial and error, but I'm quite happy with the end result.
Li ho messi nello stesso punto, temporale e tramonto, uno spettacolo magnifico.
Day 1
Meet the Tempest Assault Speeder, a fast attack craft part of my new microscale faction!
For the next 6 days, I will be uploading a new vehicle each day for my new faction. I have yet to come up with a name for this new faction, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
The dominate color scheme of my new faction is tan, light bley, and dark bley. The reason I chose this color scheme is that I saw many lovely vehicles with the same colors, and I thought that it would translate well to micro vehicles. We'll see how that goes once I upload all of the other vehicles of this faction.
Enjoy! :)

KF Aerospace Hawker Mk II Tempest is now on display inside the fantastic new KF Aerospace Center for Excellence Museum in Kelowna. This restoration project has been many years in the making and its hoped that the aircraft will fly in 2022. It will be the first airworthy example flying in the world. This aircraft has been fitted with a DC-3 engine which came out of a CL-215. It had been undergoing a restoration which started many years ago in New Zealand, but was sold to KF after its owner passed away.

Must be seen this way...trust me
Submission fo the Themed Thursday Group: This weeks theme is Shakespeare.
What you must know about me is my passion for the theater and especially Shakespeare. (Not the easiest of stations to photograph a train in the sun due to the close proxmity of tall trees. There is a gap during April when the sun is high enough but the leaves on the trees are not quite out to at least give a dappled effect in the station. Went back about 3 weeks later, the tree leaves were out and sun gaps were few and far between)

The Eurofighter Tempest is the backbone of several air forces across Europe. While most operators still use the single-engine F1, the newer, improved twin-engine F2 and IDS Mk. II has recently entered service with the Royal Air Force, the Luftwaffe and the Air Forces within the NDC.
While the EF Tempest is designated as a swing-role fighter, the Tempest F1 basic version is more specifically an air superiority fighter with secondary air-to-ground capabilities. The EF Tempest IDS (interdiction/strike) is the ground attack version. Optimised for low level ground attack and close-support operations, the IDS version sports increased fuel capacity and a more extensive air-to-surface sensor package, including FLIR and a laser designator for independent targeting of laser-guided air-to-surface munitions.
Kudos to Mike Psiaki and his transatmospheric fighter, as well as Ralph Savelsberg's EF Typhoon for a lot of inspiration.
I have always loved storm chasing. It has never gotten old. Just the power these Great Plains storms have is amazing. The average thunderstorm releases the energy equivalent of a 20 kiloton nuclear weapon, or a small nuclear power plant. Electrical potential between cloud and ground must build up to levels of tens to hundreds of millions of volts before a lightning strike forms.
At any given moment, there are approximately 1,800 thunderstorms occurring over the Earth. It is estimated that 100 lightning flashes occur each second somewhere on the Earth, adding up to nearly 8 million lightning flashes per day.
This storm was not all that big, but it made up for it in intense electrical energy and light that was just incredible. This image comprises of five different lightning bursts layered over each other. After about an hour, the storm lost its gusto and disintegrated while others in the distance gained strength. ‘’Tempest’ is an image that records an atmospheric and celestial event over a time span (counting the moonrise). Most of the image, the storm and lightning, took only fifteen to twenty minutes to catch. ‘Tempest’ fuses these various dynamic elements into one photograph - like a still time-lapse.
The Tempest F3’s powerplant is the Eurojet EJ290 advanced turbofan, capable of 28,000 lbs of dry thrust (45,000 lbs with afterburner). This engine is a further development of the EJ200, though it also incorporates technology deriving from the Rolls-Royce F136 alternate engine for the F-35.
I'm running out of plausible explanations storyline-wise for the radical design changes on my Tempest, so just try to forget the previous two versions, and let's re-boot from the top, ok?
Developed by a consortium of European defence- and aviation contractors, the cutting-edge Eurofighter Tempest swing-role fighter will replace the EF Typhoons, Dassault Rafales and JAS-39 Gripens, and eventually form the backbone of several Air Forces in Europe.
Kudos to Mike Psiaki and his transatmospheric fighter, as well as Ralph Savelsberg's EF Typhoon for a lot of inspiration.
