Power Big Meet Västerås 2006

Gold Toned Kallitype, 7.5"x10.5" on Arches Platine Paper.

Summer seems a long time ago already, and a few shots of Jane cleaning the cars for you....

I hope you like.....

Sadly, I could not travel to BrickFair VA this year - but on the positive side, this finally allowed me to fiddle with bricks. This is the result, a late Hawker Tempest; itself a modification of the earlier Typhoon design.

The Living Fortress: Tempest

Fun Facts:

- The MOC weights over 10 lbs (4.536 kg)

- Tempest is over 28 in (71.12 cm) tall from the top of the head

- This creation took about one year to plan, construct, and finalize

- Tempest was featured on LEGO’s Instagram story for 24 hours on August 5th, 2017

- The internal skeleton in 100% Technic and the exterior is system, zero Bionicle parts used

- The MOC features light up eyes, shoulders, and abdomen using 3rd party lights

- Tempest used zero ratchets joints for movement, exclusively using ball joints or gearing for smoother movement. Most joints require a gear to be turned for the joint to swivel.

- This is the 3rd version of the character, the 1st being an unfinished WIP that was made in 2012 and the 2nd was a fully Technic/Bionicle build from 2013.

This MOC was designed to have a full transformation into a spaceship, while incomplete, there are some concept pictures of what the final product would have looked like.

A large mecha that is piloted and powered by multiple team members that are in the fight against Kairos. Constructed for land and space travel, specialized in hand-to-hand combat. It houses large racks of hidden missiles that can be deployed at will. After learning that a greater threat was found among the stars, this large craft was constructed by most inhabitants of the planet in an effort to free themselves from the constructed world Kairos had created.

Tempest is powered by Circuit, who uses her near endless amount of electrical energy to keep the lights on. Dominion uses his magnetism powers to help the servos move more efficiently during combat. Active patience and repairs are monitored by CPU, Factorie, and Lugnut of the biker gang. Piloting the mecha is Guradian in his origin form, possessing the central core of the Tempest and using it as his body.

While very large an imposing, the heroes are unaware if this will be enough to fight off against the being of time. Until then, they travel through space looking for their fight.

Tempest Paige is the owner-operator of Sweet Poison Cupcake Boutique, in the Village Gate, Rochester, NY. I was browsing Village Gate shops, and I noticed her brightly colored, playful appearance as she stood behind the counter. There were no customers in her store, so I asked if she'd let me shoot a portrait, and without hesitation, she graciously agreed.

Thanks, Tempest!

Stormy weather on the lake

This photograph is taken at Cape Solander, Kurnell, NSW. The area is within the Kamay Botany Bay National Park area and has limited visit times between around 7am and 7:30pm during the spring and summer months. All that meant an earlier morning and a bit of thinking outside the box to get there before sunrise. I found a way and walked in through a bit of bushland for about 15 minutes in the dark, eventually coming out to the lookout. On this particular morning we had dark storm clouds above, rough swell below and a lot of wind on the edge of Australia. All of this complemented the jagged cliff edge, giving this photograph the suitable name, “Tempest.”

60002 (Tempest) - 6E10 11.14hrs LBioT - Drax AES 'biomass'. Derby Road bridge, Bootle. 19th April 2019.

Working on a hunch more than anything, took a chance to go to this location hoping a Class 60 would be working 6E10. My luck was in but also noted that dead at the rear was also 66706 which took the train onward to Drax from Tuebrook Sdgs. The 60 breeze past me no trouble for the climb to Bootle Junction.

60002 was originally named 'Capability Brown' when first entered service then under EWS ownership was named 'High Peak'. Now it has been repainted into GBRf house colours and named 'Graham Farish'.

LOL...I just like this shot with her WHITER than white hair...

catching a little light in the garden.

It was perfectly calm outside, until I brought her out for a few pictures and the wind started up... it has to be her name, Tempest.

When I saw the word tempest, all I could think of was tempest in a teapot. I was just waiting for a good storm. Well, we are getting it tonight! This teapot is very special to me. It was my grandmother's silver teapot and I think it was her mothers too. I love the curves of this beauty.

KF Aerospace Hawker Mk II Tempest is now on display inside the fantastic new KF Aerospace Center for Excellence Museum in Kelowna. This restoration project has been many years in the making and its hoped that the aircraft will fly in 2022. It will be the first airworthy example flying in the world. This aircraft has been fitted with a DC-3 engine which came out of a CL-215. It had been undergoing a restoration which started many years ago in New Zealand, but was sold to KF after its owner passed away.

Who is the DST gardian for the oldest know clock to man? The Sun Dial!

Taken at 2:57 PM in Rittenhouse Square downtown Philadelphia, PA. on March 22, 2016.

I have built quite a few WWII planes before, but this is the first one carrying the invasion stripes. It was fun to add it, and not too hard as the Tempest is quite a bit larger than the other British fighters I have built.

Tempest is a nude bespoken doll featuring Valerie in Milk skintone. She is a grey smoky eye with cat eye liner, nude lips, pearly strobing and a black beauty spot on her chin.

This is a commission doll and not for sale.

The wigs in the photoshoot are by PattaArt and Time of Doll. The lingerie is emiliacouture OOAK and the jacket from Fashion Royalty.

I like late piston fighters a lot, it feels that they come closer unlocking the true potential than earlier designs. The Hawker Tempest is a nice example - it is noticeably larger than earlier fighters. Although it was a pretty fast plane, it became more successful at low altitudes, attacking ground targets.

My new girl, Tempest. She's a custom Sunday Best. Her looks are stunning, I am so glad that she's apart of my family!

Not only is the Rancho Del Zocalo a great place to grab a decent and solid meal for the money, it's filled with photographic opportunity.

For those who don't know, Tempest is the name of Zorro's horse which is featured in the mural.

The Tempest IDS has over twice the carrying capacity of the older Jaguar Gr.4N, and can carry a wide array of guided, and un-guided air-to-surface munitions. Shown here is an IDS carrying four Paveway-VI GPS/INS guided bombs, eight Zircon II air-to-surface missiles and two AIM-9X Sidewinders for self-defence against air threats.
