One hour, almost to the minute behind.

Who is the DST gardian for the oldest know clock to man? The Sun Dial!

Taken at 2:57 PM in Rittenhouse Square downtown Philadelphia, PA. on March 22, 2016.

I have built quite a few WWII planes before, but this is the first one carrying the invasion stripes. It was fun to add it, and not too hard as the Tempest is quite a bit larger than the other British fighters I have built.

I like late piston fighters a lot, it feels that they come closer unlocking the true potential than earlier designs. The Hawker Tempest is a nice example - it is noticeably larger than earlier fighters. Although it was a pretty fast plane, it became more successful at low altitudes, attacking ground targets.

Fun Facts:

- The MOC weights over 10 lbs (4.536 kg)

- Tempest is over 28 in (71.12 cm) tall from the top of the head

- This creation took about one year to plan, construct, and finalize

- Tempest was featured on LEGO’s Instagram story for 24 hours on August 5th, 2017

- The internal skeleton in 100% Technic and the exterior is system, zero Bionicle parts used

- The MOC features light up eyes, shoulders, and abdomen using 3rd party lights

- Tempest used zero ratchets joints for movement, exclusively using ball joints or gearing for smoother movement. Most joints require a gear to be turned for the joint to swivel.

- This is the 3rd version of the character, the 1st being an unfinished WIP that was made in 2012 and the 2nd was a fully Technic/Bionicle build from 2013.

This MOC was designed to have a full transformation into a spaceship, while incomplete, there are some concept pictures of what the final product would have looked like.

A large mecha that is piloted and powered by multiple team members that are in the fight against Kairos. Constructed for land and space travel, specialized in hand-to-hand combat. It houses large racks of hidden missiles that can be deployed at will. After learning that a greater threat was found among the stars, this large craft was constructed by most inhabitants of the planet in an effort to free themselves from the constructed world Kairos had created.

Tempest is powered by Circuit, who uses her near endless amount of electrical energy to keep the lights on. Dominion uses his magnetism powers to help the servos move more efficiently during combat. Active patience and repairs are monitored by CPU, Factorie, and Lugnut of the biker gang. Piloting the mecha is Guradian in his origin form, possessing the central core of the Tempest and using it as his body.

While very large an imposing, the heroes are unaware if this will be enough to fight off against the being of time. Until then, they travel through space looking for their fight.

My new girl, Tempest. She's a custom Sunday Best. Her looks are stunning, I am so glad that she's apart of my family!

Not only is the Rancho Del Zocalo a great place to grab a decent and solid meal for the money, it's filled with photographic opportunity.

For those who don't know, Tempest is the name of Zorro's horse which is featured in the mural.

The Tempest IDS has over twice the carrying capacity of the older Jaguar Gr.4N, and can carry a wide array of guided, and un-guided air-to-surface munitions. Shown here is an IDS carrying four Paveway-VI GPS/INS guided bombs, eight Zircon II air-to-surface missiles and two AIM-9X Sidewinders for self-defence against air threats.

The proposed twin-engine Eurofighter Tempest.

Magnus and I had a small discussion earlier about whether my EF Tempest would look better as a twin-engine design or not. Having a free moment last evening, I decided to try out a twin-engine configuration on the F1, and so far I'm not hating it... (my initial concerns about it looking too bulky this way seemingly proven wrong)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA zuiko 75-300

Another shot taken with my new Lumix LX5. This was of Typhoon #9 that blew through Tokyo last week but facing to the East (versus the other shot facing the South).

Skies had a surreal purple tone. However tweaked this one to be red to give the cityscape a bit more of a "dark" demeanor, thus 'Tempest' in the title.

Would've been better for me to shoot this in HDR, but shot this while *moving* down in an elevator with glass windows. Am most pleased with the quality the LX5 gave me in a low light shot while moving.

A pilot posing next to his Tempest IDS on the tarmac.

I really like The Tempest by William Shakespeare. I was first introduced to it many years ago via Derek Jarmans film version. It’s a wonderfully strange and fascinating interpretation of the story.

This photo depicts Miranda, daughter of Prospero. They were banished to a remote Island by her uncle and the king of Naples and have lived here with their slave, Caliban as her only company for twelve years.

Prospero, a magician conjures up a storm to shipwreck his brothers passing ship.

Ideally, the shipwreck should be visible in the background. But I think Emer captures Mirandas character beautifully.

Expect to see more of The Tempest over the next few months.

Developed by a consortium of European defence- and aviation contractors, the cutting-edge Eurofighter Tempest swing-role fighter will replace the EF Typhoon, Dassault Rafale and JAS-39 Gripen, eventually forming the backbone of several air forces in Europe. Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland are among the few countries using the most advanced version, the Tempest F3. The Tempest IDS, a specialized ground attack version of the F3, has suffered some delays in its development, but is now in full production.

I'm running out of plausible explanations storyline-wise for the radical design changes on my Tempest, so just try to forget the previous two versions, and let's re-boot from the top, ok?

Developed in secret, the Paragon Tempest is a helicopter built to raze a city. Armed with a fifteen foot explosive railgun, along with standard cannons and homing missiles. Steel girders crumble like paper. Infrastructure can be taken out in a tenth of the time previously required. Intermeshing rotors give incredible stability. Any attempts to ban this aircraft from combat have been...unsuccessful.
