" Well, I love teaching and I love explaining this. I feel that this isn't being done in drums and drummers need to know about this. Whether they play by themselves or not they need to be more thorough in their musical education and most drummers aren't applying all extra-musical techniques to drumsets. So they can gain a lot from that and I feel that you can't keep it unless you give away " ~ Terry BOZZIO

The Pomodoro Technique by no means was invented by BrainBox, but we can help you master it! The invention of the studying technique is credited to Francesco Cirillo who used a timer to create a structured study routine with balanced breaks. Click the link in our bio to learn more about how you can apply this technique into your daily studying routine.

For this image, I used the spot healing brush and the clone stamp tool to fix some blemishes, remove a stray tree branch, and take the strands of hair out the middle of her right eye. I then used a curves adjustment layer to darken the trees and valley behind her and another to make her face a little brighter. I whitened her teeth by adjusting the saturation and lightness of the yellows on an HSL layer and brightened her dark brown eyes with yet another curves layer. Finally, I added a center vignette using a curves layer with a radial gradient.

To illustrate a way to make a "blurred background frame" using PicMonkey's overlay tool, as asked in the PicMonkey group. This is similar to Picnik's old Mirror Frame.

First, open the photo in PicMonkey. Use the Soften tool - set Softness to 100% and Fade to 0% and Apply. If you want it softer, repeat the effect.

Next, on the Overlays tab, choose "your own" and add the same photo. Drag/resize to center over the blurred background.

Save.

What's so interesting about it, is when I made it in PMG, I deliberatly made grouping errors, to test if I put them in certain places the shading will come together as one piece. It worked! It's odd....

Oh, and those shading pieces aren't defaults, they're normal squares from 00000 to 99999. :P

When people ask Don Gould how he knows that his product works, he answers: “Because babies stop dying.”

As part of an open source, social enterprise consortium, Gould, who is both a product designer and ceramicist, helped to design and deploy simple effect water filtration devices to the developing world.

Photographic techniques capture electromagnetic wavelengths beyond human vision, revealing features invisible to the naked eye. These signals are processed into interpretable forms using methods like color mapping.

Pink lacks a specific electromagnetic wavelength, while grey poses a limitation due to its representation of only intensity—a blend of light and dark without spectral specificity. Imaging techniques reliant on spectral variation produce identical results for greyscale images unless non-visible data is present. Deviations from this uniformity may indicate errors, misinterpretations, or unknown phenomena.

Contention persists over analytical debates, including dismissible claims like Van Allen belt dangers and contested evidence of lunar mirrors. The precision of laser reflections targeting a moving 3x3-foot marker on the Moon highlights technical skill but often fails to resolve skepticism. For instance, a 0.1° shift moves a laser spot 670 km across the Moon's surface.

Forensic analysis (2022, 2023) of Apollo 11–17 photographs assessed authenticity claims. Images of humans in space, Earth, and the Moon's distant views were validated, but Moon landing visuals showed variations, suggesting diverse techniques may have replicated certain elements.

PEMi (Photoelectromagnetic Image) software enhances forensic analysis by differentiating natural and artificial light sources, revealing hidden features. Each PEMi-ID links to original sources, ensuring traceability and comparison.

I recently purchased four of the Echo Base kit at 40% off (minifigs, weapons, tauntauns, and a few other parts are in my Bricklink store - tell me I sent you and I'll give you 5% off). Once I started looking at the parts I'm keeping out of these, I realized I had a decent start for some mecha (even though I've never tried building in that genre before). Here are the resulting ideas. Most of these aren't great, but maybe some of the techniques are useful to someone else.

Also, more macro-mode photography practice. Just how many lights am I supposed to need to make these look good? These were taken with two focused lights overhead and another behind me.

Tried an "old recipe" for illustrating one of my car images. Primarily used it for landscapes in the past. Pretty happy with the way it turned out

You've seen how the Ip Man Movie have sparks the growth of Wing Chun Kung Fu worldwide. Now learn how to use Wing Chun techniques using HKB Eng Chun [Black Flag Wing Chun] to achieve maximum efficiency of time, space and energy, from this Wing Chun Video.

In this Wing Chun Training video, Grand Master Kenneth Lin demonstrates how to use the HKB Wing Chun Combat Formula [Originated from late GM Kwee King Yang's teaching of Kao Kuat / 口訣] to achieve the maximum combat efficiency using the basic Wing Chun Bong Sao Technique [Bong Jiu / 膀手] both in deflecting as well as in Occupying time, becoming space and releasing an impulse energy.

Many times, in most Wing Chun mainstream lineage, focusing using offense as defense. In this video, Grand Master Kenneth Lin demonstrated how to achieve maximum efficiency using HKB Combat formula on applying that offense as defense idea.

Note: Within this video, GM Kenneth Lin made a comparison between the common use Wing Chun Bong Sao [膀手] from mainstream Wing Chun and showcase the Black Flag Wing Chun perspective of Bong Jiu / 膀手 [Bong Sao]. Please be noted that this does not mean one is better or less than another, it should be up to you to decide which fit you the most.

Black Flag Wing Chun training methodology makes it possible for you to use Wing Chun in full contact vs. Systema, vs. Taichi, vs. Taekwondo, vs. Kenpo, vs. Ninjutsu, vs. BJJ, vs. Muay Thai, vs. karate, vs. boxing, vs. any styles!

Available in Black Flag Wing Chun Schools: USA [California & Virginia], UK [Devon], Germany [Saarbrucken], Italy [Roma, Genova, Savona, Livorno, Torino, Novara] and HKB Wing Chun online university. www.hekkiboen.com/worldwide-schools/

A new technique I figured out! Firstly, jam the square stud into the tyre, then place that into the globe. There should be just enough friction to keep the whole assembly in place.

Building technique devised by a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, on display at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on the National Mall, Washington, DC, 1 July 2011.

According to the adjacent sign:

"In 2007, when Peace Corp volunteer Laura Kutner first arrived in Granados, Guatemala, she noticed two problems: the town needed more school classrooms but could not afford to build them; and trash littered the streets. Laura's idea—two build two classrooms out of plastic bottles and inorganic trash—helped solve both problems.

"Building walls out of trash requires bottle 'bricks,' or bottles stuffed with roughly three pounds of trash. Each 'brick' is stacked into a wooden frame and held in place with chicken wire. The resulting wall is then covered with layers of cement and painted.

"Building with bottles is cheaper than using cement block, but is just as sturdy against earthquakes. Moreover, the process contributes to removingt tons of trash from the streets. The success of the bottle school in Granados inspired many other communities in Guatemala to build similar structures."

When I went to the Rock the Bells Tour last summer, one of my friends let me take a couple of pictures with his camera while he got his autograph.

Long story short, the man himself, Immortal Technique, found this pic and asked if he'd be able to use it. It ended up being the album cover.
