Northern Harrier | Hunting Technique
Smaller than the more common Red-tailed Hawk generally hunting from the periphery of woodlands, Northern Harriers, aka marsh hawk or ring-tailed hawk, prefer to fly low over open habitats, listening to prey activity below by twisting and turning abruptly over tangles of grasses and shrubs. Here, a male Harrier is seen flying over an open field into 50 km/h sustained wind gusting to nearly 100 km/h and from time to time touching down in search of small rodents, principally mice and voles. In addition to single action shots, some progressive composite images illustrating the Harrier’s sight and/or sound-based hunting strategy are provided throughout this photo album. According to “All About Birds”, Northern Harriers breed throughout Canada but generally do not winter north of the CAN-USA border. Granted, Kingston is on the northern fringe of the Harrier wintering range, however, the current mild winter and lack of snow in Southeastern Ontario may have influenced this bird’s innate desired to migrate south

This is a photoshopped version of my gazania picture. So is this.
1. Duplicate the background layer
2. Invert color on the background layer. (depending on the image, you may want to skip this step or make some other type of color change)
3. Set the blending option in the layers tab to 'difference'. The image will turn black if you skipped step 2.
4. Choose the other layer.
5. Under the filter menu, choose 'Gaussian Blur' and make sure the 'preview' checkbox in the adjustment dialog is checked.
6. Play around with changing the amount of blur until you get an effect you like. A radius of something like 50 or 80 is probably good.
For still more fun, try out the different blending options.

This award/gift was created using 6" GiftGloss. The gift was slid into the GG sleeve sideways in the front. The rest of the GG was drawn around the back. The congrats card was slid into the back of the sleeve with the name facing to the front.
The GiftGloss "pony" was tied to the side using raffia and scraps of ribbon, in what the FoofQueens call a "scrap bow". A chipboard initial was tied on to add color and a "personal" touch.

Inspired by the technique over at Splitcoaststampers called Smack Down. I used a Hero Arts stamp and Catherine Pooler ink - Fiesta Blue. The white embossed sentiment is also from a CP stamp set.
Photographic techniques capture electromagnetic wavelengths beyond human vision, revealing features invisible to the naked eye. These signals are processed into interpretable forms using methods like color mapping.
Pink lacks a specific electromagnetic wavelength, while grey poses a limitation due to its representation of only intensity—a blend of light and dark without spectral specificity. Imaging techniques reliant on spectral variation produce identical results for greyscale images unless non-visible data is present. Deviations from this uniformity may indicate errors, misinterpretations, or unknown phenomena.
Contention persists over analytical debates, including dismissible claims like Van Allen belt dangers and contested evidence of lunar mirrors. The precision of laser reflections targeting a moving 3x3-foot marker on the Moon highlights technical skill but often fails to resolve skepticism. For instance, a 0.1° shift moves a laser spot 670 km across the Moon's surface.
Forensic analysis (2022, 2023) of Apollo 11–17 photographs assessed authenticity claims. Images of humans in space, Earth, and the Moon's distant views were validated, but Moon landing visuals showed variations, suggesting diverse techniques may have replicated certain elements.
PEMi (Photoelectromagnetic Image) software enhances forensic analysis by differentiating natural and artificial light sources, revealing hidden features. Each PEMi-ID links to original sources, ensuring traceability and comparison.

I've been aware of the Ortron Technique for quite some time, but have not really worked with it.
I'm working on building my skillset in producing better moods within photohoshop, so I started using the Orton technique along with other skin toning techniques to produce a dreamier portrait.

Le bâtiment est bardé de plus de 100 capteurs de 8 types différents, du laser aux détecteurs précis au millimètre près, placés du sol au plafond (et même au delà !)
Plus de 20 caméras de surveillance surveillent le site en permanence, avec détection de présence avec analyse comportementale, déclenchement d'alertes, allumage de sirène 120 dB sur tout le site et télétransmission en quelques secondes !
