Playing with some new found filters I dragged up this old shot from a shoot I did for The Vintage Clothing company a couple of yrs ago. I didn't think it worked that well until I came across this effect:

I am so excited about this discovery and think you will be too.
I love this crackle because it is easy to do with easy to find materials that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Painting inspired by "Four Fragments" some paragraphs written by the poet José Ángel Valente for the painter Antoni Tàpies.
"The state of creation is equal to the wu-wei in the practice of Tao: state of no action, no interference, of supreme attention to the movements of the universe and to the breathing of matter. Only in this state of retraction does form come, not as something imposed on matter, but as its natural epiphany "

“El estado de creación es igual al wu-wei en la práctica del Tao: estado de no acción, de no interferencia, de atención suprema a los movimientos del universo y a la respiración de la materia. Sólo en este estado de retracción sobreviene la forma, no como algo impuesto a la materia, sino como epifanía natural de ésta”

I thought it looks odd if the car goes around the corner with the wheels straight... So I gave Indy a 6w steering for the looks.
Feel free to use, I am not the best car builder, so I just pimped Indy's and i think it worked out nice!
I need to add that this is not for "swooshing", the wheels have too much friction on the pins.
we all know naruto is the best at this technique.. but, i didn't see this coming.! sasuke and kakashi?! i ROFL when i look at this.! haha...

Occasionally I do portrait photo sessions with families or couples but I much prefer to do this outdoors rather than in a studio, which I find too restrictive and formal. For this couple I tried the already famous Brenizer technique and was very happy with the final result. The resulting image has the feel of a medium/big format camera since the depth of field achieved with this technique is beyond the capabilities of a full frame DSLR even using an 85mm f/1.4 like I did here.

Tone
Shading is the technique of varying the tonal values on the paper to represent the shade of the material as well as the placement of the shadows. Careful attention to reflected light, shadows, and highlights can result in a very realistic rendition of the image.
Blending uses an implement to soften or spread the original drawing strokes. Blending is most easily done with a medium that does not immediately fix itself, such as graphite, chalk, or charcoal, although freshly applied ink can be smudged, wet or dry, for some effects. For shading and blending, the artist can use a blending stump, tissue, a kneaded eraser, a fingertip, or any combination of them. A piece of chamois is useful for creating smooth textures, and for removing material to lighten the tone. Continuous tone can be achieved with graphite on a smooth surface without blending, but the technique is laborious, involving small circular or oval strokes with a somewhat blunt point.
Shading techniques that also introduce texture to the drawing include hatching and stippling. There are a number of other methods for producing texture in the picture: in addition to choosing a suitable paper, the type of drawing material and the drawing technique will result in different textures. Texture can be made to appear more realistic when it is drawn next to a contrasting texture; a coarse texture will be more obvious when placed next to a smoothly blended area. A similar effect can be achieved by drawing different tones in close proximity; a light edge next to a dark background will stand out to the eye, and almost appear to float above the surface.

This is too awesome and very exciting news! Photo Technique Magazine dedicated part of the Jan/Feb issue to "MASTERS of LIGHT PAINTING"!! There is a long story behind how this article came to be but I owe it all to a great guy in Norway by the name of Ole Utne! Ole contacted me several months ago about doing an article for his project in college and I was happy to work with him on it. He then submitted that article to Photo Technique and they decided to feature this article along with another highlighting the drastic difference between two different light painting styles. The other featured artist is well known New York based photographer Stan Patz! What an honor!
This is awesome news for me and with Light Painting being mentioned on the cover, it is great for the community as well! I can't wait to get a copy of the magazine to see what is inside!! :-)
THANKS A TON OLE!! :-)

The short watch band pieces can be linked together to fit around various round elements. Could be used for steampunkery, treads, decoration, etc. Or use a few of the pieces with studs on them for larger wraps and build off of that. I noticed that some of the "claw" pieces have a round hole in them and I discovered that you can insert a flame or plume into that hole. Has anyone else noticed this?

Ryan Ferrey employs the Salto Technique on Roddy Hayter at Aberfeldy Highland Games 2015. This is basically a Suplex - an offensive move used in both professional and sport wrestling. A suplex is a throw that involves lifting the opponent and bridging or rolling to slam the opponent on their back. Though there are many variations, the term suplex (without qualifiers) can also refer specifically to the vertical suplex.
In this photo , taken by my colleague, Cooper, I am demonstrating the correct technique when throwing an Atlatl dart. The Atlatl, or throwing stick, predates the bow and arrow, and was developed by peoples all over the world to increase the range and power of the spear, or dart, when hunting game.
Cooper used my OM-D E-M1 with the M.Zuiko 7-14mm f/2.8 Pro to take this photo. I processed the resulting image using DxO PhotoLab 5.2.1.
