Howard Palmer, aircraft commander, flew in from the 512th Rescue Squadron at Kirtland Air Force Base into a 344th Training Squadron landing zone July 21, on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, after completing a flyover for the Basic Military Training graduation ceremony here. Students, instructors and staff members across the 37th Training Wing interacted with the aircrew and checked out the airframe. The tower uses six Akiyuki modules but instead of joining these in the customary horizontal sequence, the modules in the GBC Tower are stacked vertically on top of each other – resulting in a 14,500-brick LEGO® MOC that towers more than six feet in height!
