I love 8051 set, but I believe that wheels from 8420 set make it look even better, don't you think so?:)

Lego Technic 8258 MOD to 8x8 (8WD), Pneumatics (v2) with compressor, bigger crane (three instead of two upper sections), opening doors, ...

Here a rendering (bluerender) of the LDD file.

Taking a break from my Smash Bros. series to post an idea that made me laugh. I'm sure it's useful in a Southwest living room moc, but technically, this is made up entirely of minifig parts.

Some basic knowledge of technic is required. Unless your brick collecton is completely insane, you -will- have to buy parts to complete this model.

An homage to the classic space 886 set.

Lego system built onto a technic chassis. Has working steering and the radar dish rotation is driven through a differential from the rear wheels.

The 886+ is a single-seater exploration and reconnaissance vehicle, designed for zero-atmosphere, low gravity planetoids.

Power is supplied by a large 500kW replaceable lithium-ion battery pack located behind the drivers seat. In a 0.3G environment, this gives it an effective range of over 500KM and a top speed of 200KPH. Although this speed is inadvisable as there is no seatbelt.

The main air tanks have enough for a 24hr trip and there's an emergency 1 hour tank stowed underneath the dash.

It also comes equipped with a fast-burst RF transmitter, adjustable height steering wheel and a side tray for storage of moon soil samples.

This is the large 9th magnitude blue-green planetary nebula NGC 1360 in Fornax the Furnace. It is also known as the Robin's Egg Nebula.

NGC 1360 is odd in that it is a more uniform disk, not a ring or bi-polar object as are many planetaries. The 11th magnitude central star is visible.

The barred spiral galaxy NGC 1398 is at lower left.

My youngest dog is in the process of exiting puppyhood and although he never really destroyed or chewed anything up to this point, he has managed to destroy several things this week.

The latest victim...my Techinc Vader Helmet.

This helmet was special for me because it was a part of the 1st LEGO set I purchased as an adult.

I guess I need to put my "waiting to be sorted" box a little higher up and out of the reach of puppy teeth.

It's a Lego Technic scale model of Bucket Wheel Excavator ER-1250. The scale is 1:41. The excavator has eight remote controlled functions and 14 electric motors. The dimensions: 123x42x56 cm, total weight – 7,8 kg.

Technically the beaches at Ocean City close at 10PM ... I may have been out there after then with this capture (oops ...), but the main reason for that is usually at night they have big tractors run up an down the 10 plus miles of beach there to clean them ... and it would not be good to be scooped up ;)

Alas, during the off season, these cleaning runs are not done every night like they occur in the summer time.

As I approached the dunes there, I liked the alignment of the tractor tracks, the dune crossing path, and their relationshop to the lights and hotel making for an interesting perspective to the Maryland beach here in Ocean City.

Technical application! wooo! This is skye, My lilac haired beauty. I made her a little while ago and she was fun to take photos of.

Here I tried a different technique for drawing hair, and I really do prefer it... looks less line-y.

Title - Skye Boat Song. (hehe)

Coccinella septempunctata. A voracious predator that may eat as many as five thousand aphids, hemiptera, and bionicle mask bugs in its brief three- to six-week lifespan. Or until I take it apart. Bold red and black markings warn larger creatures that ABS tastes awful and is hard to chew.

With all those studs, perhaps this one is more "model team" or "creator" than "technic"? It's technic on the inside though. Simple functions. The legs are driven by the black twelve-tooth bevel gear. And the wings, once deployed, flap together from the dark bley eight-tooth gear.

The big 3,000 piece UCS version with motorized legs, elytra, and wings is still under development…

Hyde Library was originally Hyde Technical School and Free Library. The foundation stone was laid in 1897 and it opened in 1899 replacing the former Mechanics Institute. In 2015 library services were moved into the Town Hall and the building abandoned. It is not listed and is now in a terrible state.

The terracotta ornamentation on the building is lavish and is topped-off by a statue of Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom and sponsor of the arts, trade, and strategy, holding a book.

The sixth image in a series...this one inspired by one of my all-time favorite episodes of I Love Lucy--the one where Lucy and Ethel get jobs, most infamously in a candy factory. :)

The Chomper was a fun, if at times uncomfortable, mode of transport. Its sharp teeth could be used for cutting through jungles or grinding moon rocks.

Sadly there was a mis-communication when the scale drawings of the Chomper's arms were passed from the design bureau to the sub-contractor. This resulted in the Chomper having T-rex style arms.

I built this because it made me smile :D

Gold Limited Edition Technics Turntable SL-1200GLD

The main fighting vehicle of many militias and rebel movements across the world. Especially in Africa where Diamond Creek employs them as their main workhorse. Cheap, available in great numbers, and easily modified these trucks, and their crews, are easily replaced in the event of failure and destruction.

This thing has been sitting around for far too long, and has gone through numerous changes over it's life time. It is primarily based on KingBrick's Light Security Vehicle as well as a few others. These pictures are already outdated as I've changed a few things such as raising the suspension a plate. I'll have to post more pictures or a scene with the newer version in it soon. Enjoy.

A friend of mine, who is an eager knitter, found a picture of one of these and asked if I could make one. Of course I couldn't - I'm bordeline idiot when it comes to mechanics. But I could find the right parts for my brother, and he made one in no time. So if your knittingwool is a mess Lego can solve your problem :)

...auf besseres Wetter.
