Another Technics turntable repair. This one had reports of the cue lever not working and the tonearm not lifting during the auto cycle, plus one side of the RCA cable not working. I've worked on one of these before and knew the cuing could be tricky to work on. It was not as bad as last time but still took a while to get the mechanism unfrozen and lubed so it worked properly. I soldered some new gold plugs on the cable and also fabricated a new top for the tonearm rest. That and the usual cleaning and lubing. 3 of the 4 feet are still messed up. I might as well break the 4th foot so they match.

Awesome Craigslist find... Technics SA-GX390 Pro Logic receiver for $25. Came with 3 speakers (left, centre and right) plus a HUGE Boston Subwoofer. Cannae beat that.

This illustrates how the Paper Bicycle can be easily adjusted to be ridden by very tall men and very short women. But NOT the otherway round - No short men or tall women, that just wont do. Also women must wear skirts and carry handbags, and men must wear suits at all times. Smurfs need not apply.
