OK so still here, just. Trouble is, Flickr is still bugged to death and I can't get access to any photos without error messages locking everything up. But the yahoo staff have been very helpful, so I've forgiven them a bit for lousing up the layout.
Tech issues still remain, but we're slightly more hopeful than we were last night :)
Peace

One of the coolest pieces of tech I've received at CNET isn't some iPod or iPhone, but this vintage Technics Quad receiver, courtesy of CNET's Brian Cooley. This thing is classy through and through, with five VUs, a great big counter-balanced tuning knob, discrete volume control for all four audio channels, and a green backlit station selector with a contrasting marker lit up in orange. The sound is outstanding, my kid goes nuts for it, and I couldn't be more grateful to Brian for handing this down to me.
The Great Ball Contraption Tower or “Akiyuki Tower” is an homage to the famous LEGO® great ball contraption master builder Akiyuki Kawaguchi. The tower uses six Akiyuki modules but instead of joining these in the customary horizontal sequence, the modules in the GBC Tower are stacked vertically on top of each other – resulting in a 14,500-brick LEGO® MOC that towers more than six feet in height! Roland, mistaken alternately for a Riese & Müller- or a Velophil-employee. He is just a highly appreciated Velophil-customer. He led us on the afternoon Wannsee-Origamitour. I still feel it in my legs.
We visited the Technical Museum in Berlin for a morning visit and afterwards we had a guided origamitour through Berlin.
