When Trinity College students visited Barunga in the Northern Territory in September 2007 they were presented with a life-size papier-mâché freshwater crocodile. This is the work of Techy Masero. A gift to the College, the crocodile was created for the 2007 Barunga Festival.

This is a techy example of an obtuse angle...

During NTEN's 2008 Non-profit Technology Conference a group of techies participated in several volunteer projects to bring technology to communities battered by the 2005 Katrina hurricane.

My group, comprised of consultants, non-profit workers, and Cisco Systems, traveled to a community center in St. Bernard Parrish to install wireless access points. St. Bernard Parrish was the hardest hit during the flood - only 6 houses were left standing out of 25,000 when the water rose 25 feet in 23 minutes.

It was an honor to be able to provide some help to this community and I'm grateful for the opportunity to talk with residents and keep the hope and momentum of positive work flowing.

First try at HDR: 3 Exposures tonemapped using Qtpfsgui. Had pretty much no idea what I was doing so if anyone has any constructive advice/criticism, particularly with how to avoid the softening effect (see the top of the Opera House "sails" in large size) I would love to hear it.

For any techies, details below:

Yo Techies, HELP!

Can somebody please guide me a bit about websites, HTML, Flash, CSS, mySQL, Wordpress, and some other techie mumbo jumbo? I've been trying to learn in the last few months and all I got are pieces of information I can't consolidate into a workable pattern! (Uh, what the heck did I just said?)

Please help me know what to learn (and in what order) and what books (or video) to get. I know it takes more than that but I'm so lost where to start and what to do next...

*Punkin' Junkin' Witch *

She is directionally challenged, but not techy so a GPS would not work. She uses instead her old car compass and weathervane for getting around. Everywhere she goes, other punkins give her colorful buttons because then she can be seen better in the sky and not get creamed by other flying creatures of the night--especially on Halloween. The orange minilights inside her hat and helpful reflector lipstick help also. She has a case of sinusitis, but her snottiness can be stopped in a flash with the handy faucet nose--(evolution has worked better for Punkins, doncha know. Wish I had that for my current cold.) The orange minilights inside her hat help also with visibility in flight. Punkin' Junkin' can just throw her flexible funky legs out and grab for a quick stop if necessary. (On the back is a sign: "I Brake For Junk."

Stencil graffiti on a San Francisco, California sidewalk that says "Fuck Techies". There's a lot of tension in this town from long-time residents getting priced out due to the influx of young, highly-paid tech workers.

Everyone I know has a fobia of camera's, but my dad happily offered to model for me. This image was taken in a beautiful little villiage called Newton Ferris in Devon for my second college assignment. I've only studied Photography for just over a year now and I feel I've come a long way since this image.

I saw this link today. It is goes to a Museum of Miniatures and doll houses. It is in Carmel, Indiana has anyone been there?? museumofminiatures.org/index.html Maybe I will be in the area some day. : )

I found this computer(?) the other day. I doubt one would find it at that museum, hahaha. But It will be a great prop I'm sure!. I also found the camera I am using for this at 50% off at the thrift store. I think I have found a good all around camera finally. Anyone know anything about the Canon Power Shot A490? please let me know what you think.

I will have to find an online manual for it to figure somethings out. I still need to put it through it's paces to see what it can do.
