Mismatched vintage china teacups used in a drawer to store jewellery

This teacup is not the thinnest porcelain, but it has a very high degree of translucence, which makes it glow in the sunlight.

My Moms from long ago...

For a short period during the 80s, between Victorian Railways and V/Line we had Vicrail. Their livery became dubbed the "Teacup" livery, due to the loco adorning the nose on this example. The livery didn't last very long and was applied to only a handful of locos and rollingstock.

These teacups were collected by my Grandmother. They are a series of flower of the month cups - each is intricately hand painted and just beautiful. My wife had a small collection, but inheriting these made her collection much more of a treasure than it was!

I have been thinking of doing this shot for a while but was not sick enough of flower shots until a few days ago to actually get off the stick and do it!

Happy Saturday!
