dear friends!! i love the art tasks given to us in my art therapy and counseling program... here, my response to the task "create an image from your favorite fairy tale." my favorite ~ a story my father told me when i was very young, which is related to the velveteen rabbit in a way, and also to pinocchio... about transformation. i am so happy to be able to share this journey with you, dear friends. :)

may all travelers find joy!!

and favorite stories...

the rabbit, now a lovely shade of green, is exploring a field of grasses and ferns made up from two digital photos taken near the beloved river this spring and summer. he is not yet aware of the glittery fairy wand (scanned using my canoscan 8600f scanner).

assembled with love.*

one of my projects these days is to begin compiling an archive of my own images that i can use in this type of collage work... :)

Circular Saw Blade, designer: Ryoichi Takagi

This is an image that has been seen before, but not quite in this configuration. It is a little more tightly cropped and not so washed out in colour.

The picture shows one of Walter Woolfenden's cranes onboard the Liverpool docks floating crane, looking at the condition of the crane i would say that it is just going out on a contract in the Isle of Mann. it was out there building the ill fated Summerland leasure complex which sadly resulted in a terrible loss of life when the building caught fire.

Malie Tasker, one of the Novi Stars.

Let's check off why Malie (pronounced Molly?) became my first-ever Novi Stars girl this evening.

Looks like a Junko Mizuno illustration? Check.

Futuristic Geisha dress complete with obi? Check.

Four arms?!? Check, check, check, and check!

Glow-in-the-dark limbs and stand? Check!

I had a fantastic photoshoot with a good friend and one of my favorite models, Leslie. We had planned a number of possible themes, but this was the only one that was on our list, to do a "multiple exposure" type shot.
