Please COMMENT if you FAVOURITE

Rogue One trailer comes out today and I think it will awesome! (better than TFA).

It's a return in the old, good times, when the Empire ruled the galaxy and there weren't stupid Vader's fan (yes I'm talking with you Kylo).

I'm very excited about Grand Moff Tarkin (the one on the right) and I hope to see also Admiral Thrawn or Wulf Yularen.

On the right there's a Shadow Trooper the new troop that we all want to see in action.

In the middle I create the main character: Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) she was a rebel who must steal the Death Star's plans.

In the trailer we don't see Boba Fett, who for somebody should be the main character but for me is just a rumor.

What do you think? Do you like the minifigures? Please comment below

I got brickarms :)

Clone-abunga! Does anyone else see some similarities between the Bad Batch and TMNT?

Here are a few extra shots from my Dathomir moc.

“My TIE Defender project is cost effective and on schedule Moff Tarkin. I think you will most please with it.”

“I am a staunch supporter of your project Admiral. I look forward to see it come to fruition. But I fear Krennic and his ‘Star Dust’ have gained more interest for its shear potential power. The ability to destroy a planet will be able to keep the out laying systems in check.”

“Perhaps, but I believe the Defender will instill the same fear and in greater numbers.”

“Then Prepare your prototype and we will show the Emperor himself.”

I'm very happy with how this turned out, Tarkin's expression really shows the contempt the empire has for the average soldier and how easily expendable they see them all.

Digital painting of the only man other than the Emperor tough enough to make Darth Vader back down: Grand Moff Tarkin.

SPOILERS AHEAD! Don't say I didn't warn you!

Sooo... This film was amazing!!! Like, just amazing!!! As in I've never been speechless until I walked out of TFA the first time! Yes, the first time. As of present, I've seen it 3 times. Ah, the spoils of free cinema tickets :P. (see my comment)

To begin, I wasn't sure whether to place this bit in good or bad, but there was so many unanswered questions. How did Maz acquired the lightsaber? Where did Rey come from? Where did Finn originally come from?(Lando maybe) How did Ben turn to the 'dark side'? Who is Supreme Leader Snoke?(Darth Plagueis maybe, Sidious' master) Why did R2-D2 wake up when he did? I'm sure these will all be answered in the future, but couldn't at least 1 or 2 have been cleared up.

THE GOOD:

SOOOO MUCH! First, the score was brilliantly picked out, and when part of songs were played, like when we see Vader's helmet and The Imperial March plays for a few secs. Just felt great and so very Star Wars! The opening crawl was amazing and filled me with nerdy joy!

Possibly most importantly, the introduction of new characters was very well done! Rey, Finn and Poe all felt so real and genuine and, as well as the returning cast, were everything that this film needed and a Star Wars fan wanted! Domhnall Gleeson was really sinister and menacing as General Hux, who was similar to Tarkin and in some ways even Hitler!

The film in general was well paced and the action scenes were purely epic! I also really enjoyed the comedic moments, like BB-8's 'thumbs up' and Han saying to Finn "That's not how the force works", then to Chewie "Oh yeah, you're cold!" Just loved it! :D

The main villain, Kylo Ren/Ben Solo was three dimensional, unlike characters like Maul and Grievous (Dooku was quite good). He had depth and background which I am certain will be explored in Ep. 8. I'm so looking forward to it!

The mix of CGI and practical effects was amazing and seamless! Maz was interesting and I hope we see more of her in Ep. 8 and 9.

A little thing, but I loved how the characters held and swing the lightsabers. Unlike the prequels and much like the OT, the sabers where quite weighted and powerful. The final fight was similar to ROTJ in that they both seemed so angry and where just hacking at each other, like Luke fighting Vader in ROTJ.

My favourite scenes were the meeting and escape of Poe and Fin, the meeting and escape of Rey and Finn (xD), Han and Chewie boarding the Falcon, The visions seen by Rey when touching Anakin's/Luke's lightsaber, Finn battling on Takodana, Rey and Kylo's 1st confrontation, Rey mind reading Kylo back, Rey mind controlling the Stormtrooper (who I believe was played by Daniel Craig), Finn and Han's banter, Han's death (which was really moving ;( ) and of course the final battle with Finn and Rey facing off against Kylo Ren/Ben Solo. Yeah, so basically the ENTIRE MOVIE! It's SO hard picking a favourite scene!

I really felt it when Han died. Right in the heartstrings ;( He touched Ben's face and fell down the big hole thing, like most major death's in the Star Wars saga. Then Chewie went on a murder rampage, killing at least 4 Stormie in 10 seconds and shooting Ren in the side. THE FEELS!

THE BAD:

As much as I hate to admit it, this film wasn't perfect. I felt that Poe was an awesome character but didn't get enough scene time. He was in the first 15 mins and then in the last 30. It didn't feel like enough for the capacity he will hopefully end up playing in the future, if that makes sense.

Also, Captain Phasma was SOO underused! She was the Boba Fett in this film in that she looked cool but did literally nothing.

As well as that, the countdown of Starkiller base getting ready to fire was a bit off. It could have been very easily fixed by saying the base would take 30 mins to charge rather than 15. It would have flowed a bit better IMO.

The ending though. That was disappointing. I wished it had ended just after Leia said "May the force be with you" to Rey and her and Chewie flew off in the Falcon. Luke said nothing. Just was so... gah! Gimme something! Also that last helicopter shot was poop!

It was also a bit of a rehash of A New Hope in quite a few ways, not that I minded but some did. There was a nobody stranded on a desert planet, cocky amazing pilot, death of a mentor by someone close to them, death star, trench run and rescuing a girl. While some dislike these large similarities, I loved them. They were in a new setting with new characters and overall it was a different plot altogether, so I really enjoyed these callback to the film that started it all!

SUMMARY:

As a massive Star Wars fan, this was practically everything I could have ever wanted from the first film in the Star Wars Sequels! Rey was my favourite character from the new cast, and Han & Chewie from the old, although I really loved C3-PO's main scene on Takodana xD. The film captured the love and care and inventiveness off the Original Trilogy and splashed it a little with the fancy graphics and CGI of the Prequels to give The Force Awakens, Episode VII of the Sequel Trilogy. Call me sad, but it was quite beautiful :)

9.6/10

This may be because I've just seen it, but I honestly think this is my favourite Star Wars film. Thank you J.J. :D

Director Orson Krennic inside the Main Overbridge aboard the first Death Star occupying the planet Scarif

This scene was made in a collaboration between my fellow friend tz_machine, who brought this scene to life and me, who designed the Overbridge MOC itself. When we first got images of the movie Rogue One back in 2016, I instantly fall in love with the one where Krennic stood inside the Overbridge in his imperial outfit looking directly into the camera.

Rogue One is one of my favorite Star Wars movies and it’s visuals are spectacular! Thus I had to design the Overbridge, which was first seen in A New Hope from 1977, where Tarkin ordered to destroy Alderaan.

The MOC contains a total of 2415 pieces.

Dark Lord : The Rise of Darth Vader.

Darth Vader managed to track down the signal that tried to get acces to the jedi Archives. Furthermore he was able to identify what the escaped jedi were looking for: The jedi master Yoda, Luminara Unduil and Quinlan Vos, who fought during the last days of the clone wars side by side with the 41st elite corps on the wookie homworld of Kashyyyk. Not long after that vader arrived in the Kashyyyk system, along with the Impetator-class Star Destroyer Exactor, where it joined Wilhuff Tarkin and the Executrix. The two plotted their attack on Kashyyyk- Vader interrested in hunting down and destroying fugitive jedi, Tarkin interested in enslaving the Wookiees for use in the construction of the first Death Star.

“ Director Krennic, Moff Tarkin sent word that he could not find a thermal exhaust port cover at the home improvement center. He also stated that he asked employees and they said they did not carry such an item.” “Tarkin is a liar! Fine, I’ll finish this project with out his help!” Day 3698 Y11D47

"When has become now, Director Krennic!" - Governor Tarkin

On the bridge of the Executrix, Governor Tarkin monitors construction of the Empire's ultimate weapon, the Death Star. As he looks on, the Mk I Superlaser is being installed. Director Orson Krennic comes aboard the Star Destroyer and approaches Tarkin on the bridge. Tarkin expresses his concern over the defected cargo pilot, who is spreading rumours on Jedha about the Death Star's existence. He tells Krennic that his time is up as far as completing the battle station goes, and that Emperor would not tolerate any more delays on the project. Suggesting that both problems should be solved together with a test of the weapon, Tarkin makes it clear to Krennic that failure will not be tolerated. (From Wookieepedia.)

Attention, troopers! This is Admiral Tarkin with new orders. The chancellor has voiced his concern over the new threats arising in the Dathomir system. A malicious group known as Night Sisters has repeatedly interfered with our military expeditions. Reports show that this group and its members utilize unordinary weaponry and something that, in lack of a better expression, could be described as sorcery. While you are familiar with the dubious ways of the Jedi already, their abilities might be even more absurd. In consensus with the chancellor, my research team and I have decided that a live subject is needed for further research into this matter. Your mission is to acquire a suitable subject in an assault on one of the Night Sitster’s lairs on Dathomir. The Jedi are not to be informed of this assignment and will have no part in this operation. I will personally lead the attack. Our assault will be swift and precise. Failure is unacceptable.

A New Hope. This was the movie that changed the world. Even 40 years after its release, it’s still popular. This is one of the greatest movies of all time! Personally I love this movie! It’s a classic. There’s no part of this movie I didn’t enjoy! I have so many good memories of this movie from when I was a kid! I’ll stop gushing over this and get to the figs.

This custom vintage Grand Moff Tarkin was a gift from Wizard of X and it's awesome! I actually bought a Death Squad Commander just for this shot, because I really wanted to do Tarkin justice. And it's funny that every time I set up my Death Star, it seems I'm missing a different support strut.

Lúc Carrigan was said to be piloting one of the Rebellion's signature Xyloplanes during the Battle of Yorkshire, during which he managed to destory the Queen's flagship dirigible H.M.S Death Star , killing the nefarious Grand Duke Tarkin and achieving the first real victory against the British Empire.

The Xyloplane, named for its unusual wood construction in the back engines and propellors, is of Welsh design, and was built to be a craft for the burgeoning Imperial Army. However, the Welsh people soon grew tired of the Empire's many trespasses against their nation, and thus joined with the Rebellion, bringing the Xyloplane with it.

The ship is equipped with a powerful boiler that operates its four engines, as well as two high-pressurized torpedoes- the weapon that was said to have brought about the end of the Death Star. The ship is often nicknamed the "X-plane", for the distinctive shape its wings form during flight.

Here is my entry for round 2 of the “MOC Olympics” contest. In this round we have to build a ship or an iconic scene of the Empire or the First Order. A base of 32 x 32 was the limit.

As you can see I decided to build an iconic scene of the Empire. My MOC shows the meeting, which all the high members of the Imperial Military attended and where they debated whether to use the death star immediately or not. The meeting also resulted in Darth Vader briefly strangling Motti with the Force after the latter insubordinately retorted Vader's warning that the abilities of the Death Star were miniscule compared to the Force.

I hope you like it.

"The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers."

―Leia Organa

Governor Wilhuff Tarkin is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, first portrayed by Peter Cushing in the 1977 film Star Wars. He is the commander of the Death Star, the Galactic Empire's dwarf planet-sized doomsday weapon. The character has been called "one of the most formidable villains in Star Wars history.

Tarkin - "Since you are reluctant to provide us with the location of the Rebel base, I have chosen to test this station's destructive power on your home planet of Alderaan."

Leia - "No! Alderaan is peaceful, we have no weapons. You can't possibly—"

Tarkin - "You would prefer another target, a military target? Then name the system! I grow tired of asking this, so it will be the last time. Where is the Rebel base?"

Leia - "Krypton. They're all on Krypton."

Tarkin - "There. You see, Lord Vader? She can be reasonable. Continue with the operation. You may fire when ready."

Leia - "What?!"

Tarkin - "You're far too trusting. Krypton is too remote to make an effective demonstration, but don't worry. We will deal with your rebel friends soon enough."

And that's how/why Krypton was destroyed.

Alderaan was destroyed by the Empire under Grand Moff Tarkin's command as a brutal demonstration of the Death Star's power to intimidate the galaxy and force Rebel information, specifically the location of the Rebel base, from Princess Leia. Despite Leia revealing the base was on Dantooine, umm Krypton, Tarkin destroyed her homeworld anyway to show the Empire's absolute control and ruthless efficiency, resulting in the annihilation of its two billion inhabitants.

Taking advantage before disassembling the set. we have taken another photograph with soldiers and an ATAT.

"It's the trooper you don't see that will get you."

―Cassian Andor

Death troopers were an elite variant of the Galactic Empire's stormtroopers designed for stealth, espionage and lethality. Operating under Imperial Intelligence, they served as protective details and bodyguards for significant Imperial officers and members of the Tarkin Initiative, as well as special-assignment commandos. They wore black suits of body armor and specialized helmets with vocal scramblers, micro-motion sensors, and heads-up displays with data on enemy and friendly positions on the battlefield. Death troopers were trained in unarmed combat, heavy weapons, demolitions, improvised weaponry, guerrilla warfare, and marksmanship. They were experts at covering their tracks, and left little to no evidence of their missions.

...The Battle of Scarif, also known as the action on Scarif, the mission to Scarif, or the raid on Scarif, was the first major battle fought in 0 BBY between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. The battle was preceded by years of attacks by the fledgling Rebel Alliance against the Empire and began the five-year period in which the Alliance successfully fought to replace the Galactic Empire with the New Republic.

Prior to the battle, Rebel Alliance Intelligence Service intercepted information suggesting that renowned scientist Galen Erso was building an Imperial superweapon capable of destroying entire planets. Alliance leadership sent Galen Erso's daughter, Jyn Erso, and Captain Cassian Andor to learn more about her father's involvement, and their subsequent efforts saw the Alliance discover the existence of the Death Star, as well as a fatal flaw in the design placed there by Galen Erso.

Though the Alliance High Command refused to openly oppose the Empire, Erso and Andor led a small unit of Rebel Marines and other allies and defied orders, taking it upon themselves to launch an incursion of the Scarif Citadel, as the rebels planned to infiltrate the heavily guarded Citadel Tower base on Scarif to retrieve the Death Star plans. Under the callsign Rogue One, the unit infiltrated Scarif's planetary shield in a stolen Zeta-class Heavy Cargo Shuttle and proceeded to wage a guerrilla assault on the Citadel's outskirts, drawing away Imperial forces so that Andor, Erso, and the droid K-2SO could infiltrate the facility. Director Orson Krennic, the former commander of the Death Star, attempted to stop Erso and Andor from stealing the plans, but the heavily outnumbered Rebels received support from the Alliance Fleet under Admiral Raddus, whose forces engaged the Imperial Star Destroyers above Scarif and worked to destroy the Shield Gate protecting the planet.

With the Shield Gate's destruction, Rogue One was able to transmit the stolen plans to the fleet above, though all remaining Rebel ground forces were eradicated by a low-powered blast from the newly arrived Death Star that destroyed the Citadel and surrounding area. The Sith Lord Darth Vader's forces made short work of the rebel ships that did not manage to retreat, but Princess Leia Organa escaped the battle in the Tantive IV; Vader pursued her to the planet Tatooine and captured her there, but the plans were already out of his reach. The plans eventually found their way to the Alliance, who used them to pinpoint the Death Star's weakness and destroy it at the Battle of Yavin.

Comparison between designs by TLG and Phoenix Custom Bricks. I have to say, as much as I love Adam's designs I like the Lego version better as the face looks more menacing and like a "vulture waiting in an erected sun". :D Also the torso print looks a touch too female on the custom version. Still, a nice minifigure!

From now on, I will make images that appear in my 1977 sticker album LA GUERRA DE LAS GALAXIAS (Spanish edition).

------------------------

At the end of 1977, the Spanish publishing house Pacosa Dos Internacional acquired the rights to distribute in Spain the first sticker album related to the movie Star Wars, a film produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by 20th Century Fox a few months earlier. .

This album consisted of a total of 181 in full color and could be purchased at newsstands and grocery stores at a price of 15 pesetas. Most of these stickers were printed with a frame from the film itself, although we could also find a few in which the main actors appeared posing in the typical photographic set.

Next to each of the stickers we found the number assigned to the sticker within the collection and a small description of what the scene or character in question shows.
