This is a set of three panels of ANTIQUE Japanese fabric. I believe this fabric is silk, and it likely originates in the Meiji (1868 - 1912) or Taisho Period (1912 - 1926). It is patterned densely with tangled leaves, vines and flowers. This fabric used to be part of an obi.

The fabric is in very good condition with only one noticeable stain on the largest piece of fabric (which is more prominent on the wrong side of the fabric - barely visible on the right side).

MEASUREMENTS:

Piece #3 - 11cm X 48.5cm (4.33" X 19.09")

The Tangled rest area in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom.

These wonderful energetic branch formations can only be seen at this time of year so I have not noticed them before. I want to thank my friend on Flickr who has taught me to look up!

It's interesting how some of them grow straight up and others are quite contorted.

A completed black tile sent to my by my CZT classmate Debra Myers from Virginia, USA.

I'd asked for a black tile featuring Angeleafe, my new tangle discovery, so that I could show it off to my students at my upcoming black tile class!
