The tale of "Tangled" performed in the Royal Theatre in Fantasy Faire at Disneyland. So awesome!

Our final project for photoshop was to redesign a poster or CD cover. I chose one of my favorite movies, Tangled, and added in the characters, title, and masked in the lanterns over the tower background. The part I struggled with most was finding a way so all the characters could be seen but still looked in proper proportions to one another.

Enjoying nature on the hiking trail.

This is a colorful zentangle ATC that I made for the Cat ATC swap on swap-bot. I used ultra-fine sharpie markers and some cheapo technical pens I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby. This is my cat, Kismet, lounging on my bed near the sun streaming in the window...a regular occurrence lately.

This stuff grows everywhere in Manali. It truely is a weed!

This tangle of sun-scorched branches caught my eye. (c) 2012

This is a set of three panels of ANTIQUE Japanese fabric. I believe this fabric is silk, and it likely originates in the Meiji (1868 - 1912) or Taisho Period (1912 - 1926). It is patterned densely with tangled leaves, vines and flowers. This fabric used to be part of an obi.

The fabric is in very good condition with only one noticeable stain on the largest piece of fabric (which is more prominent on the wrong side of the fabric - barely visible on the right side).

MEASUREMENTS:

Piece #1 - 33.5cm X 124cm (13.19" X 48.82")

Piece #2 - 10cm X 369cm (3.94" X 145.28)

Piece #3 - 11cm X 48.5cm (4.33" X 19.09")

A unfriendly-looking gate in a creepy alley with the setting sun just over the rooftop. I just can't resist good contrast and backlit subjects. No matter how unwelcoming.

These wonderful energetic branch formations can only be seen at this time of year so I have not noticed them before. I want to thank my friend on Flickr who has taught me to look up!
