One of four tangle patterns inspired by the work of Faberge, created for Easter 2012. More patterns and other artwork can be found on my blog: perfectly4med.co.uk
This original pattern starts with curly brackets (also known as braces). It's easier to turn the page to do the horizontal brackets in step 2. Lots of opportunity to shade here.
All my tangle patterns can be found at my blog perfectly4med.wordpress.com
A simple pattern, but enjoyable for the negative space left after the shading. A style of Maltese Cross is visible in the gaps.

A weather alert let me know that there would be abundant fog on the first day of October this year. I spent the morning stomping around in the wet grass trying to get some interesting photos. My favorite way to start a day.
Last one for today; although tomorrow's a new day. I'm having so much fun tangtling on scrapbook paper. But maybe I'll do a ZIA instead. This one features the new tangle called "Auraknot" which Rick and Maria introduced on their site today.
A page from my journal of test tangles. This time I was thinking 'outside the box' (okay, outside the 'circle') as each tangle flowed and morphed into the next. (This page is the one featured in my 'Zentangled Cafe Life' photograph... at that stage unfinished.)
Watched the video on Renaissance tiles from the latest CZT newsletter :) have no tan tiles just now, so grabbed a kraft notebook and a handful of pens to follow the instructions :) black and brown Sakura Micron 05, Uniball Signo Angelic White, Sakura Glaze White, graphite pencil, Fabrico in Cool Gray, Derwent pastel pencil in Pale Olive - was too lazy to go find my soapstone :) it's a totally different experience, not so zen as original tiles plus black pen, but I love the result!
